I just wanted to share with you guys the following:

My sister sent me this beautiful picture the other day. I'm super excited that she has finally decided to try to reduce her meat and fat intake and incorporate more fruits and vegetables. This made my day because I realize that my lifestyle is not very conventional and to some it may even look impossible to follow. As I mentioned before I do not have this page, youtube channel and Instagram acct. for monetary reasons but with the only purpose of sharing my experiences with all of you, in hopes that you may find a benefit from this lifestyle and you become the very best that you can be.
Way to go Sis! I am very proud of you! I love you!

This is such a great way to make kids eat more fruit instead of all the nasty candy that kids constantly crave because of the lack of fruit in their diet.
Here is my little niece having delicious kiwi and apples in the shape of a flower that my sister made for her. This is not only healthy but super cute and can be used for birthday parties, when your kids are having friends sleeping over, to take to school in a lunch box or simply everyday!
I will post the ones she made with watermelon. I hope you all give it try. If you do, send me a picture of your kids or yourself eating these delicious and cute snacks.

Yea I'm totally down anytime! 5ks, warrior dash, etc all sounds fun to me...Something else athletic that is a total blast is to go go-kart racing at the Dallas Karting Complex - Karts range from max speeds of 60 all the way to 85 mph, and I'm always more sore the next day than I am after a 5k. A fruitluck would be totally awesome, and now is a mighty fine time of the year for one. We could always go to the Farmer's Market and/or check out the raw vegan restaurant in North Dallas called BeRaw (or any of the other vegan restaurants)...It's a mega delicious restaurant, but unfortunately I must mention that they're not exactly 8/1/1 friendly; I don't think they have a menu option that wouldn't throw off one's macros for that given day, so I haven't eaten there more than a couple times and have wondered if I can psychologically stand to make that sacrifice again...Maybe we could ask them to accommodate with a few lower fat variations on their current menu? Anyways, whether we want to get together and do something specifically vegan or just...something...is fine with me either way!

Hi Guys...Welcome Blake, Jay, Lauren and Rhonda to this group! I am really excited to find vegans in my area. We can do many things as a group.

I have done many 5Ks, Warrior Dash, etc... Things we can do as a group, if you are all interested. We can plan a meet and greet at a later time, just let me know what you all think.

Right on! There is a wonderful vegan Vietnamese restaurant restaurant called D'Vegan next to the market! http://www.dvegan.com/menu.htm Extremely unique and affordable! The owner is a delightfully pleasant Buddhist monk and he and his mother prepare all the food, as far as I know. I also know that the seitan, tofu, etc is also handmade by the owner. As of the last several months I've decided to go entirely raw, but I'm betting that since he's such a friendly dude he would be down to improvise a raw entree for me! Besides BeRaw and Spiral Diner, do you know of any other vegan restaurants in DFW?

Hey Blake, no I haven't been there....yet. I have been looking for durian and jackfruit for a while and haven't found any. Thanks for the tip. I'll probably slide by there this weekend and check it out. They always talk about durian not being very good unless it was picked ripe and I doubt that's the case anywhere here in Texas but I'm trying it anyway. Like I said before I mix it up pretty good. I eat a ton of fruit but I also eat a lot of steamed vegetables and potatoes in the evenings. Usually raw in the mornings and for lunch but not always. My rule is pretty simple...If it's a plant, I eat it!
