I know what I did, and it was truly an act of desperation (Realized that I hadn't eaten yet at around 2 pm, was at less than a thousand calories by 8 pm). What do you guys do when you're in the same situation?

This is a rippa thread Freelee. I'm buggered at the moment cos I'm working hard, training hard and just not eating enough. It seems to be sooooo hard to eat enough when you're living in the city and constantly moving around all day. I know I don't eat enough and the amount of fruit you demo looks heaps too much to me still. It is good to have a bench mark though. Not beating myself up over this, just glad to have you as a guide as I keep on learning.....all the time.

calories are grossly undervalued on some raw diets i think. there is such a difference in eating calorie laden cooked food to raw food. people need to eat BIG :)

i have to agree. recently it sorta clicked with me why thirty bananas a day. even though i knew the theory behind it. i went on fitday and tried to make up a raw day and to get the calories in i did 20 apples and a papaya and some punnets of berries to get to 2000 cals. and then the fact is if exercising seriously you may burn more. calories are grossly undervalued on some raw diets i think. there is such a difference in eating calorie laden cooked food to raw food. people need to eat BIG :)
like a salad should be in a big bowl that most people would consider a salad bowl for many.
