Maybe he was concerned more about animal health than on human's.

In the clip below, Jacque Fresco mentions that he was an "organic vegetarian for years", and it seems that this was, at least in part, an ethical choice, for he stopped being a vegetarian after he read a book by Jagadish Chunder Bose.

Wikipedia about Bose: "His major contribution in the field of biophysics was the demonstration of the electrical nature of the conduction of various stimuli (wounds, chemical agents) in plants, which were earlier thought to be of a chemical nature. These claims were experimentally proved by Wildon et al. (Nature, 1992, 360, 62–65). He also studied for the first time action of microwaves in plant tissues and corresponding changes in the cell membrane potential, mechanism of effect of seasons in plants, effect of chemical inhibitor on plant stimuli, effect of temperature etc. He claimed that plants can "feel pain, understand affection etc.," from the analysis of the nature of variation of the cell membrane potential of plants, under different circumstances."

Hey sisters-brothers!
Happy to find your group here (at last)... I just read such a relevant and acute message today, so I want to join up with you here too, in uniting and sharing and maybe giving myself away a bit too...;-)
I put the message up here, in case some of you have not yet read it...
In my mind, it is a sign of an eventual shift of mind happening, and miracles do happen...;-)

Hey all - Zday was nice experience, besides the horrendous storm! I wasn't able to ask a question at the end of the conference since we ran out of time. I was going to ask what we'd eat in the future cities, since what we eat now is totally cultural. More specifically I would have questioned the consumption of animals and animal products. Since we live in a judeo-christian society this allows for people to exploit the land and animals without regard of its destructiveness, and because the values say the world is ours. This is explained more eloquently in Lynn White's "The Historical Roots of Our Ecological Crisis."

There was a brief mention of "sustainable agriculture" within the future cities proposed by the Venus project, but if it has anything to do with meat and dairy production I am not buying it. Also, the idea that technology will save the human race frightens me. I'm under the impression, based off people on this forum, indigenous peoples, and from my own experience that the less technology we rely on the more sustainable we can live (especially with 6billion people on earth.)

Cool, Jeffrey. Let us know if you happen to sense any veg-friendliness amongst the attendees. :3

Approaching Veganism -> increasing Abundance by reducing Excess

I wish some Z-days had been planned for where I am at the moment (Costa Rica), or that I could've had the time to put one on myself.

Peace my brother and sisters, I wish you sincerely absolute freedom! Been seeking since the dawn of time. Saw Icke live in Melbourne 2009, it was a full house at the beginning and after 8 hours there was not a seat empty! The consciousness of those that gathered there that day was goose bump electric - but I did see a alot of blockage in the manipura (lower abdomen chakra) lol. I don't care too much about the details of Icke's philosophy (I like him cos he spoke up when no one else dared to! That is a rare individual and I support that) - free speech is a must. Got to keep our Civil liberties, people need to become fearless and have courage to shoulder the responsibility to think for themselves and accept the consequences for their actions. Allowing the Governments (Govern -control, mente - mind: mind control) to think for you by creating admiralty laws is just making people slaves - take back your freedom from the pirates of the high seas! Seen all the Tsarion stuff plus all the project camelot stuff. Doing the inner work on other dimensions as well - that's were the real freedom will be I wager, but it would nice to see earth free again. Inner realisation is important. My imagination fails me when I try to comprehend a technologically advanced race with no self awareness? They would destroy themselves don't you think? I don't know about you guys but I pretty much have had to travel alone. Been off the beaten path since birth. I don't shy away from speaking my mind either...and I don't care very much if I hurt peoples feelings. So there! My kind will recognise me! I wish you all well. Do no harm and live harmoniclly! P.S. I just watched the Freedom Movie 1 and 2. Check it out if you have not already - I don't condone it, I just try to remain open minded. Esoteric Agenda is an old one worth watching but I guess you guys would have already been there etc.... I think there is a web site called stoptherobbery.com...gargle it (google it) you'll find it its got everything all in the one place. It's a pity you raw food zeitgeisters did not live in Australia...it would be nice to check out your consciousness in the physical illusion.

Haha, true. And looking at most of the 50-something overweight wrinkly members of the bilderberg group, I don't think the Global Elite are very healthy either :P
Nicolas Comment by Nicolas on October 10, 2009 at 10:05pm
So... Made it through that Icke lecture. To me, the only really convincing part was when he was talking about the anti-cancer properties of fruits and vegetables (specifically, the fiber-bound salvestrols), and how the produce resulting from modern, non-organic agriculture is lacking in these. Of course, he tied this up to a larger scheme whereby the elite are supposedly out to poison us via food. For sure, they don't seem to care! Looking at Icke though, I wouldn't say he's on a particularly healthy diet himself.
