ultimatly though you'll be best off playing around to see what works best for you

I prefer to start a race with an empty stomach, so I do not eat anything the morning of the race. Experiment for yourself, and find out what works for you. Sometimes it is best not to be influenced by others. Everyone is different.
Permalink Reply by Alexa R on August 22, 2012 at 2:49pm In terms of training, I wake up early in the morning to run. Since switching to a HCRV diet, I tried one morning a smoothie with 5 bananas, 5 dates and thai young coconut juice with around 30-45 min before working out and found I felt too full and didn't have a good run. The next day I tried just 2 dates, and I had absolutely no energy at all and it felt worse then eating too much. I suppose I'm just having trouble fine tunning it at the moment. One of the things that I've always heard with a low fat raw vegan diet is the amount of energy and the enhancing althetic performance. I'm sure with all things it takes some time to get to a good point. Unfortunatly I am running in my first triathalon (i'm just doing the run for a friend) in 2 weeks so I don't have much time to develop a good routine (and I've been out of the country for the past 3 months with no time to run so I'm waaaaaaayyy out of it ) so I'm wanting I suppose to find the best fuel that I can digest easily and wont hurt my run but at the same time fuel my run for the long haul. :) Thanks

Permalink Reply by Jenna George on August 30, 2012 at 1:36am I have a big cup of OJ about 45 minutes before my runs. I do not feel it at all when running.
