Hi! I'm so excited that we have a triathlete group here! Made search for it and there it was. This year I've decided to make my way back to triathlon training and racing as well as do an ultra running race. I've been a runner for 30 years and began dabbling in tri's in 2007. When I went back to college to get my nursing degree in 2010, the tri was put on hold and I only maintained my running the past 3 years. Feel I have to start all over and now that I'm a raw vegan, wanted help dealing with nutrition and how you guys do it on a raw diet... and just to talk tri lol! I see that there hasn't been any activity in this group for awhile....anybody out there?
Thanks Erwan! I just got a new job, I've been working for 12 to 13 hours daily, I always get home really tired, I try to sleep as soon as possible, I'll work on my sleeping. Sadly there's no way to take a nap during the day, I wish, because I've done it before, it makes me feel awesome with around 15mins nap.
My blood test is coming out, so far everything is really good, I'm really happy about it!

Thanks for the reply, and sorry to take so long to write back. Been pretty busy lately with a new job.
I've been using Cronometer daily, I start the day with around 2.5 pounds of banana, I blend with some water and chug it for breakfast.
About 1:30 or 2h later, I eat some more fruits, 2 or 3 big apples, or some pears, whatever is in season, for lunch, I normaly drink 2 liters of orange juice, it's raw, but not really freshly squeezed, it might have sit on the fridge section of the market for a couple of hours.
I also snack on some dry fruits, raisins, dehydrated bananas or dates whenever I feel a little hungry.I'm having trouble right in the morning time, this week I uped the amount of fruit I eat during this critical time, and it seems to be working.
I've been drinking iced tea with sugar to help out, but I doubt the sugar and caffeine are doing me any good...
Anyways, finalizing my days, I usually blend around 2 pounds of bananas with a little water and drink it as dinner. Sometimes I'll eat a couple of rolls with tomatoes and a little salt, I'm still struggling with the salt cravings.
I found out that whenever I train harder, I gotta eat a lot more, otherwise I feel really sleepy and confused from the hypoglycemia, just weird... When I eat, I feel better in minutes, but it won't last long.You mentioned sleeping, forget about it, I can't sleep for crap... I've been sleeping poorly for so long as I can't even remember. Besides, working so much and trying to squeeze training in my days is a big struggle.I few days ago, I went to a doc, she sent me to get blood drawn, I'm waiting for it... I'm anxious to see it though.Thanks for the help!
Hello guys, I need some help here.I've been trying to go 100% fruit, this past weekend I did just that, but I found out that when I have a training session, I don't go so well... I feel tired, slow, just weird...Today I went for a 14km run, on the first couple of kms I was already feeling as if I had already ran 20km!The day before I ate almost 3.000 calories, according to Cronometer.com, before heading out to run, I ate a big banana and forgot to drink some water, I had to stop to get a drink, what made me feel a little better, but still I was still feeling slugish, I had to walk some climbs that I normaly run without problem. I had a Hammer Gel with me, I took it about 35 mins in the run, what made me feel better, I could finish my training run feeling tired but alright.I'm starting to think I'm not eating as much as I need.What do you guys eat the day before a race or a big training?
Hello guys, I'm a triathlete too, I've done one sprint, a few olympic distance races and 2 ironman all of this while vegan, now I want to try my next IM totaly raw. I might come up with a few question to you! :)
Lucy, its my goal to do it, but it will take a little time... :)
so where are all the fruity iron men/women?? :P
