Well it's after 6:00 so it looks like our fig party never materialized. Ah well. I hope everyone is enjoying their figs and other fruits!

yeah well I found less than hoped for so lets make this the kind of thing without huge expectations perhaps others can bring sharable foods that combine well with sweet figs ie. lettuce cucumbers, durian? I also have some soft stone fruits if they make it till then, still unsure on the place, gretchen has offered I am hoping for details on the hiking spot, In addition anyone on here that wants to meet up on a friday morning in sf for bargains on cases of fruits lets know about it.

Hi Josh and everyone! I just spoke to Sebastian again, and he is in SF right now and is definitely up for combining the fig party with Josh's hiking and durian party in the east bay. So Josh, why don't you call him (707 758-0060) and arrange the time and location, and then post here and let everyone know? Thanks!

I just talked to Sebastian. He's still out east in the 100 degree heat, gathering up figs, and it looks like Thursday instead of Wednesday. He's thinking maybe a hike or something outdoors, then a feast afterwards.

Oh, I'm so there! I just got my first flat this Sunday (10 pounds), and they are just perfect! Luscious and ripe and sweet and rich, and no mouth burn at all. I'm up for an early evening feast on Wed or Thurs, hopefully in Marin?
