Perhaps you all can help me!
I tried Ashtanga yoga at my gym and just love it. I feel great for the rest of the day. I am really interested in advancing. I want to start a daily practice. I can take classes most days at my gym. However, what can I do at home when I can't make it to classes... Youtube vids? Websites? I als have netflix too. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
yogisanonymous.com Video quality is eh, but the teachers are so, so super. If you want to do handstand, practice Briony Smyth's class "Fly With Bri" and you WILL get there! Also subscribe to their fb group for more tips and updates. You have to pay for complete access to everything, I think about $15/month.
MyYogaOnline.com has been recommended here. Haven't tried it yet, but I've previewed some videos and they look really, really good. Challenging, good teachers, high quality vids.
YogaGlo--like some of the teachers like Jason Crandell and Kathryn Budig, but maybe not your speed if you are trying Ashtanga.
YogaToday: too easy and slow most of the time, IMHO.
Good luck! It's my birthday today and I'm going to commit to doing an hour of yoga/day for a month and see how it goes!
i second the yogaglo if you look for the right teachers. some of the classes are really great!
Thank you Poodle doodle doo!
Yes, I did a myyogaonline class again this morning (every day), this time Asthtanga Yoga Flow with Nico Luce.
One of my many favorites, the class has a nice pace.
Thanks for the tip on yoga handstands Poodle D. :) that's exactly what I need, I'll check it out. There are good preps on MYO too, but variety is always good.
