Just a shameless plug for my book The Holistic Beauty Book - packed with 100% natural recipes for skincare using organic, fairtrade and plant-based ingredients. [NOTE: I wrote this book 5 years ago before I went 100% vegan, out of 100 recipes 4 do contain beeswax and honey. Candelilla wax is a natural plant wax that can be substitued for beeswax and glycerine is a plant-based substitute for honey. The other 96 recipes in the book are 100% vegan and are labelled as such. Apologies if I caused anyone offence on this group]

Comment by Vroni on May 11, 2012 at 5:23pm Hi, I'm going back to good old fashioned henna powder. Have just bought one pack from Henna Moon www.hennamoon.com.au. I'll let you know how it goes once i receive it and try it.
Comment by Jessie James on May 11, 2012 at 2:58pm Does anyone have any smart ways to color hair or a product that is safe. I used to use Naturtint until today. I read an article on Natural News and there are horrible chemicals in it! So the box I was going to use to color my hair is going in the garbage.
Comment by Nash4343 on April 16, 2012 at 7:58pm @ Barbara "Hi, Everybody, I guess dry skin in February is not earthshaking news but I have been using Avacadoes for a facial pack and wash once a week. My feet were dry so I used that for them too. I am drinking more water so hopefully I will see if that was the main issue or nor. Does any one feel that, that is too much Avacado? I use about one for both areas."
I would like to know the answer to this as well.

Comment by Carlala on March 7, 2012 at 4:07pm I've recommended hemp oil to my family members who live in a cold climate and they swear it's the only thing that works for them!
Comment by Stephanie McClennon on March 7, 2012 at 2:39pm tate's miracle conditioner from http://www.ourtatefamily.com/ is supposed to be really good. i dry brush pre-showers and use coconut oil post-showers. if it's really dry i'll use some lotion from hugo naturals but i generally tend to avoid it if at all possible. rose essential oil helps too.
Comment by Helen on February 27, 2012 at 3:49am @ gilsamara You can try using just freshly squeezed lemon juice(or lime or orange juice) on your hair. That's 100% raw. I personally use baking soda and lemon juice aswell because the plain lemon juice isn't working for me:)
