Yeahr i called em about that but they said that bus goes the opposite direction to mareeba.

the bus time table i looked at from transnorth showed a bus leaving cairns at 11.25 www.transnorthbus.com/athertoncairns

I should have flown in on the monday aswell, i didn't realise the buses only run 3 times a day, i get in at 8:30am and the bus leaves at that time and there isn't another till 3:15pm so i won't get to the farm till late tuesday arvo : (

The shelf life for dates is so long because of the low water content. Some companies do shady techniques like drying in hot rooms or spraying with water or steaming. The only way to know is to look up the company and ask them

No worries. I think variety and taste is important, but I would focus on the majority of your food intake over the course of a week coming from dates and bananas if possible. Simply because these are lower in water and higher in calories…
