Comment by SoulSparkled on July 13, 2012 at 10:55pm I recently purchased the app BIG OVEN on the iPhone. I wonder if we all added recipe's to the vegan section we could build up a great collection (recipe, photos of food, menu lis) of raw vegan recipe's!
I'm going to start doing that as I go, and I would LOVE it if others would contribute. I find this app a FANTASTIC way to be organised with meals in a busy lifestyle and your shopping list and menu plan automatically is created in the same little compact place that is carried with you in your phone device.
If anyone else is keen on the idea - PLEASE CONTRIBUTE and let me know so I can check it out! I think if we make the heading 'RAW VEGAN' it'll be easier to find come searching.
THANKS!

Comment by Sam on July 6, 2012 at 1:20am love the strawberry desert Yulia! :) How come only 9 strawberries though? I would have thought 40+ would be ideal for each person!

Comment by Sam on June 27, 2012 at 3:20am yes a squeeze of lemon works well. I like blending dates with peppers or tommys.
Vinegar is diluted acetic acid, commonly known to be a poison in its pure form. Acetic acid stimulates the thyroid gland to pull phosphorous from the adrenal glands to negate the effects of acetic acid in the system. Depleted phosphorous results in impaired function of the adrenal glands and thus the entire endocrine system. The outcome of all this can include body odor, pains in the heart, rapid pulse, increased mucous production, and headaches. Repetitive use will also result in hardening of the liver.

Comment by Sam on June 27, 2012 at 2:40am Hey Lee, some interesting ideas but apart from the chopped veg what would we put with it? What are the juices you mention? Hopefully not the toxic stuff :S (salt, vinegar, legumes)
Comment by Lee Cook on June 26, 2012 at 8:06pm Fresh Basil Salad:
Bring together as much of the following veggies as you will eat in one sitting:
Cucumbers, Tomatoes, Celery (including the leaves), mixed sweet peppers (red, yellow, orange), yellow zucchinis. Slice veggies at angles (julienne style/chinese style). Sprinkle with a bit of freshly ground sea salt (optional). Optional if you want a bit of protein: kidney beans.
Chop fresh basil leaves and sprinkle over veggies in bowl. May add a few drops of balsamic vinegar for optional added flavor, but only a few drops. Mix together and let set 5 minutes for juices to blend together. Mix again just before eating.
Fresh ground Thyme can be substituted for Basil for a new twist.
For a salsa variety, chop the veggies instead of slicing them and substitute freshly chopped Cilantro for the other spice choice. Send a tomato through a blender with a bit of the cilantro to mix in with the chunky bits.
Comment by Kimberry on June 4, 2012 at 12:37pm Another good one. If you eat overt fats, blend avocado, lemon juice, and dill. Makes an awesome veggie dip. :) I like to dip celery and red/green peppers.
