Permalink Reply by PureTruth on March 25, 2012 at 4:43am Two tomatoes, some fresh basil, and the juice of an orange is soooo delicious blended up. Words can't even describe how good it tastes over a giant salad of romaine, spinach, and whatever fruits and veggies and greens you like to throw in there :)
Permalink Reply by Anastasia/Champagne Mango on April 1, 2012 at 10:04am ok heres a couple :
1. beets, strawberries with a date or 2
2.Tomatoes (1-2), red bell peppers (2), Juice of a lemon or lime, dill or coriander
and my friend Esra recommends,
"There are so many ways that you can make a salad dressing! Were you looking or something sour/tangy or sweet?
Here are some of the simple ones that I make regularly:
Tomatoes, bell peppers (red or orange), tangerines/oranges
Tomatoes, bell peppers (red or orange), mangoes
Tomatoes, bell peppers (red or orange), lemons
You can add fresh herbs to them, like coriander or mint, you can add a *tiny* bit of ginger...there are limitless options really. I also always through in a handful or two of greens :) "

Permalink Reply by Shery on June 7, 2012 at 2:19am Blend the following:
- half a pound to a pound of cherry tomatoes (pending on how much you love cherry tomatoes)
- 2-3 pieces of sun dried tomatoes
- a few leafs of parsley
- a few leafs of basil
- 2 TBS tahini (skip if you don't do the overt fat thing)
- lemon to taste
- green onion (just the green bit, not the white, eww)
- a tiny bit of water
Permalink Reply by melonhead on June 15, 2012 at 5:50pm I just got raw tahini in the mail today and had my first salad with it- I just added a little water and the juice of a lemon and it was so good. It was good to have a substantial salad dressing- I don't think I am trying all the recipes available because something other than straight lemon on my salad was a welcome change. I have been eating so much less overt fat, so some tahini a couple times a week should be okay. So good- thanks, ya'll for putting these recipes on here. Gonna try them all!
Permalink Reply by GeoVegan on July 14, 2012 at 2:50pm I second this one. It's so easy to make! Had some tahini / lemon tonight! Just want to add that if you like it a little sweet, a teaspoon of agave nectar will take care of that.
Permalink Reply by Sunny on June 17, 2012 at 12:01pm I have not really cared for salad dressings just a few like an Asian one made out of Tahini and ginger but it was higher in overt fat. I prefer my salad naked but not without flavor. I pick a few herbs out of the garden (just a few leaves) chop them up finely and mix in the salad. The little bursts of flavor replace the need for dressings.

Permalink Reply by J on July 20, 2012 at 12:55pm Does anyone have a simple 'Italian vinaigrette' recipe? As 80/10/10 friendly as possible? Thanks
Permalink Reply by Esperanza Vite - The Raw Monkey on July 20, 2012 at 6:54pm This is my favorite salad dressing: http://www.therawmonkey.com/2012/07/02/savory-salad-dressing-with-t... It has a similar taste to traditional dressings, but is obviously much more fresh and fruity too!!! Hope you like it :) Esperanza xxx
