Comment by Minium on May 14, 2012 at 12:11am Hi there! I'm new to raw food and to this site but I'm willing to learn a lot. Thank you all so much for the information I've gathered.
Have a great sunny day!
Comment by Stephane on November 25, 2011 at 6:09pm Hello all
Next September, I organize a 811 festival in Spain with my wife, near Malaga, with all the best tropical and Mediterranean fruits Andalusia can offer. We will be in nature, in a very luscious green valley where we live. To know more about it, go to

Cheers
Comment by tangojuliet on November 21, 2011 at 12:49am Thanks, Urwana and Barbara Rose! I hadn't heard about Natoora and that sounds fantastic. Funny! I was in Naturalia the other day to pick up some medjools. Going fruit shopping today and will check out La vie Claire and the website. Merci et bonne journee!
Comment by Barbara-Rose on November 19, 2011 at 4:41pm And that's a good thing to go in the great chinese supermarkets to change from banana but... well be carefull. Because some fruits there are well known to be full of very bad chemical, like durian but once a time to change it could be great to.
Durian is normally at 9/10€ the kilo so for a nice durian meal you have to pay 30€
For mango the best I found in Paris where in the indian/pakistanese streets like rue du faugourg Saint Denis (75010) or La chapelle and some times it is quite cheap.
And I forget to tell you about Natoora, It's most of the time where I get my fruits :) it is organic or not you can choose, and it is delivered at home because it is a website. I'm quite happy with it, you have to buy each 15days to not pay the delivering tax. For great quantity it is awesome.
And check out carefully because there is a page for fruits in big quantity with better prices.
Now I'm hungry :)
Comment by Barbara-Rose on November 19, 2011 at 4:28pm You're right about biocoop it is the best concerning ethic but for fruits price, la vie claire is less expensive.
I know a bit about because I work in Naturalia... in the fruit department :)
Comment by tangojuliet on November 19, 2011 at 6:58am thanks so much for the suggestions will check out la vie Claire... i'm on a budget! :)
Comment by Barbara-Rose on November 19, 2011 at 4:21am There a store a bit less good than Wholefoods but it is organic and there is some US medjool there. (I think 16.95€/kilo) The shop is called Naturalia and there is plenty of them in Paris, less expensive you'll find another organic shop called "La vie Claire". I can't eat anymore fruits from ED it is untasty and not ripe.
Here in France it is a bit too early for good citrus, the season just started so they are not very sweet. Pears, persimmon, and bananas are more seasonal.
Naturalia (to search the shop) http://www.naturalia.fr/entreprise/nos_magasins.asp
La vie Claire http://www.lavieclaire.com/ou-nous-trouver-resultat.php?id_dpt=75
Good luck and welcome in Paris with all the grumpy frenches... may you enlightened us a bit by your "raw" presence :)
Comment by tangojuliet on November 19, 2011 at 1:33am I just arrived in Paris and my sister took me to Ed the other night to pick up some affordable groceries. The fruit was not impressive. I did find bananas at a good price and deglet dates, but missing my medjools. Anyone with suggestions for where to find yummy fruit, especially dates and citrus? Or the the better fruit markets in the city. Im currently in the 14 arr/Montparnasse but will trek for fruit.
Comment by tangojuliet on November 9, 2011 at 9:32am I'll be there in 1 week!!!! :) I have a place to stay till early December but going to find another apt afterwards. If anyone knows of a good place to stay (a partager etc) please let me know. It would be lovely to share a place with a fellow 30 BADer so I don't have to explain my mountains of fruit. Need a place from Early Dec til Early Feb. Please message me if you have ideas or interested in sharing a place.
Either way, i'm excited to connect with y'all who'll be in Paris!
