I have about $30k I am trying to dump into a sustainable community of earthships in a florida community, I have found land tracts of about 20-25 acres in this price range zoned for agricultural purposes but I'm not sure that I could get building permits for earthships so I am looking for people to help in tracking down a suitable location or helping come up with the additional money needed for something in a 'freedom pocket' ( http://www.earthship.net/pockets-of-freedom )-- florida is the desired target location as of now because of the large amounts of rainfall and rich soil that will support citrus trees & veggies. I have about 10 people so far that are interested in following through with me but I need more people to help with the legal procedures and research as well as engineering agriculture building & medical support. Are you interested?

Just returned from a trip down to Santa Cruz to scope out a new living location. Currently, myself, husband and two kids live in a small cold rental in Davis, CA. We don't like it here but, well, my husbands in school, we receive almost all of our food from farms and the co-op without having to use money. We do lots of bartering, ride our bikes everywhere, when we do drive we scavenge waste vegi oil from local restaurants and run our van on that. But, we are looking for something closer to the water, not so suburban, and I'd like something warmer, and we'd love to be around more like minded folks. Any ideas? Most of the places we think of going to take us up the coast where it's soooo cold.

Money owns you. We center our lives around hoarding the stuff. Become a minimalist and live simply. Shun consumerism and only buy what's absolutely necessary for you safety and happiness. Think small, and don't be afraid of living in a small house! (My dream house is under 1000 square feet!)
When you buy, think quality, not quantity!

I've seen it all and I know exactly what you are speaking of. It's been a little over 2 years since I woke Up and everyday I work at spreading the information to others. It hasn't been easy being awake among the sleeping, but I am thank-ful I found out when I did. Lately I've been trying to figure out a way to break free from the system. Mainly the whole economic charade. Considering they have constructed such a interwoven illusitory reality, I feel the war will be won with our hearts and minds. Have you heard of Jessica Mystic? She has some insightful things to say re:the illuminati.
