Like someone said Chinatown is the cheapest i live near the one at dundas and spadina and one of the fruit markets sells me a 40lb box of bananas for 20$!! :)
If you're looking for less expensive fruit try one of Toronto's Chinatown markets - Broadview and Gerrard Street East or Dundas and Spadina. I try to stick to the farmer's markets but for things like bananas try St.Lawrence market or one of the discount food chains. Bananas range between .59 and .79 /lb
Howdy! I just moved to Toronto and I cant seem to find a place to get decently priced bulk produce! and where to get the cheapest fruit if you happen to know any places in the beaches area! Does anyone have any suggestions? it would help a ton! thanks!! :)
Hello! From Ajax, Ontario! Quick question for those of you who live in the GTA: HOW CAN I FIND CHEAP FRUIT?! I at least need to find a place that can sell me boxes of bananas for cheap. Thanks!
Hola from Brampton, ON :)
Julie!!! I mean... Gazelle!!! I'm a total newbie :)
Hi everyone! I am about a month into eating a high carb vegan lifestyle. I'm currently in TO, but I'll be moving to Montreal in September. I really care about eating local produce and supporting the land around me, so I have a feeling there will be a lot of squash and root veggies in my future! And maple syrup. Any Montrealers on this lifestyle? Let me know where you get your goods! I will be doing my masters degree in Montreal, so I know I will be very busy and I want to be very prepared so that I can be successful at this lifestyle.
Hi Andrea and Lauri,
There is a group on facebook: Toronto -Vegan fruitarians HighFruit HighCarb (80/10/10 -> Raw till4) that has had a couple of meetups but nothing in a while. I would be interested in a meet up but I'm not good at organizing one.
Welcome to30 Bananas a Day!
