Fruity picnic this Sunday, September 28!!

Ok, so I've been working on a special dance move this week, and would love to show it to you all this Sunday. It's called the anti-rain dance move. If I pull it off correctly, the rain will stay away while we have our monthly picnic :)

So come along to King's Park this Sunday from 1pm to join us for some fun in the sun! Instead of our usual spot at Synergy Parkland, we will meet at the park called the Pioneer Women's Memorial to make the most of the free jazz music on offer. After all, I need some good music to be able to pull of this extraordinary dance move ;)

Legend has it that only two men have ever attempted the anti-rain dance move before - Superman and Chuck Norris. They did it in a dance-...off. The loser had to wear their underwear on the outside.

Anyways, back to the picnic ... everyone is welcome! Even if you're not vegan yet, please still come along and meet the crew :) And because everyone has their own specific dietary preferences, just bring along your own food to munch on to make things easier.

We will set up maybe around 60m in front of the music stage. We will be the group surrounded by heaps of fruit lol. But if you can't spot us, just give me a call on 0412 244 834 and I can point you in the right direction :)

The Pioneer Women's Memorial park is along Forrest Drive, overlooking the Swan River. There's a big fountain in the middle, and the grass is quite sloped. It's quite easy to find. Here is a map for it. http://www.bgpa.wa.gov.au/kings-park/events/events-calendar/location/3-pioneer-women-s-memorial

If you get lost, Chuck Norris can help guide you in the right direction. Did you know that Chuck Norris is the reason why Waldo is hiding?

I hope to see you all Sunday!!!

 Eating mangoes in the sunshine!!

Ok, now that I've got your attention, just thought I'd let you know that our monthly picnic will be held this Sunday (August 3) at King's Park. A bunch of us will be there from 1pm, and it will run until about 4.30pm. If you can't spot us, just call me (Justin) on 0412 244 834 and I'll point you in the right direction. Isabelle (0437 183 551) will also be on hand :)

The forecast is looking really good - 20 degrees and sunny. So come out for some fun in the sun!! It's the same deal as usual: just bring your own food to munch on, and enjoy the good times :)

To make it extra fun, we will be holding it at the big Synergy Parkland playground at King's Park (where we were last time). There's lots of grassy areas to chill out on, as well as playgrounds for the littlies/big kids.

It's been great to meet so many new members over the past year. We are all super friendly and understanding that everyone's on their own journey, so please come along even if you're not fully on the vegan lifestyle yet. Everyone is welcome :)

Hope to see you all there!!

Are you Superman? hehe. Welcome aboard :)  We will be having a picnic next Sunday (August 10) at King's Park (if it's not raining), so hopefully we can meet you then! We also do other random social meet-ups like bike rides, fruit foraging, doco nights etc :)

Hey guys! :)
Just a quick hi to introduce myself.. I was just going to give my name but let's see if anyone guess the newbies name!? It would be funny & intersting to see what name people think fits my face - ha.
Just so i'm being fair i'll allow one clue: It's an aweomse name!

P.s. I'll be adding your facebook page - Fruity in WA to discuss my most recent pooping habbits.

Look forward to meeting you all,

Newbie

Edited: I just realised that as soon as I add your facebook page my name will be revealed.. Plus 30BaD won’t let you directly reply to a post on a group page.. [sigh as I roll my head forward in shame].

Aloha fruit peeps! Well it's come to that time of the month again. No, I'm not talking about that one day of the month where I take a shower. I'm talking about our monthly fruity picnic!! It will be on SUNDAY, Feb 23.

We will meet at the usual park opposite Trigg beach (Clarko Reserve). There's plenty of shade there. And once your hands get too sticky from eating fruit, we can just wander into the water for a totally refreshing beach shower. (Because swimming at the beach counts as a shower right??).

Just bring your own food to eat and enjoy the good times. Some people normally get there quite early (around 10 or 11ish). I'll probably get there by 12. You can call me on 0412 244 834 if you can't find where we're sitting.
Or you can also try Isabelle (0437 183 551) as she is normally there the earliest. We will probably be there until sunset, so feel free to pop down at any time.

And don't be shy if you haven't met the crew yet. We are all super friendly (except when we're hungry). It would be great to meet all of our new members who have joined recently.
We mainly do all our organising through our facebook page - Fruity in WA - so join that to get in on all our cool conversations (mostly related to pooing habits lol).

Hi guys,

We're from Melbourne and need to move to a warmer climate before winter comes again!

We eat only fruit for breakfast and lunch, so it's a huge part of our lifestyle.

Which city is better for fruit - Perth or Brisbane? Yes Brisbane is warmer, but Harley says most of QLD's good fruit is sent down south anyway.

And we need to move to a large capital city for work, so it can't be Cairns for example. Advice??.... where would you move if you had a choice??  How do you all find living the HCRV life in Perth? Is it super expensive?

Thanks :)
