Comment by Rawmama on May 15, 2012 at 6:19am god bless. I am grateful to have found the support I have been longing for. I have a 3 year old and I have transitioned her a week ago. Knowing how to respond to folks who are on a different path and think what I am choosing abusive presents a challenge for me. Old friends we used to eat cooked with are triggered by me and the prayer and lifestyle choice I hold for my family. Any advice is welcomed.
Comment by Adi ♥ on May 2, 2012 at 10:18am Any HCRV families looking for an au-pair or live-in summer help for the kids? I have plenty of experience with kids (as an au-pair, babysitter, pre-school assistant & day-camp counselor) and would LOVE to work with a raw vegan/fruity family this time around! :) Please send me a message if you're at all interested & I'll be happy to give you more info & answer all of your questions! Even if this isn't for you, but you can think of someone who might be interested, please let me know! Thanks! :)
Comment by Bar B Sunshine on April 29, 2012 at 1:56pm Hello everyone!!! I'm new to the group, I'm so so happy to finally find a place where I don't feel alienated as a parent. I discovered the vegan world when my oldest son was about 15 months, right after he weaned breastmilk and I was on search for healthy foods. Then searching the web for recipes and healthy treats I discovered the raw vegan world, so I did some of that too. But I was concerned on how everything was based on so much nuts/fat. Then I found Dr Graham and that day everything changed. My cooked vegan/high raw mix diet I was doing wasn't really all that healthy. (It was to everyone else around me of course) So I said, I'm going to do it! Problem was just when I was ready to start a lfrv diet I got pregnant with baby #2, so I couldn't go through. I was too scared something may harm the baby as my body released all those toxins. Anyway, I feel like now may be a better time to slowly convert. Noah is now 4months old, and I'm exclusively nursing, so I still feel a bit skeptical. As for Jayden, the oldest he eats all the veggies and fruits in the world, so no problem there!! I'm so excited, please feel free to give any advice/opinions on the subject. I can use all the help I can get!!! Also, any books with recipes for raw kids to make sure I'm meeting their nutritional needs? Thanks so much!!!!!
Comment by HolisticHealthDetective on April 10, 2012 at 12:33am Courtney, I replied to you in the discussion forum. The comment section seems like it would swallow up your question and it's a good discussion piece!

Comment by Mary Elizabeth on April 9, 2012 at 12:34pm thanks for the advice. I am just trying to be the best role model I can be and hoping it will rub off. I figure she has a better chance than I did, being that didn't know ANYONE who was even vegetarian growing up.
Comment by Courtney Patrick on April 9, 2012 at 3:42am Hi everyone! I have twin girls, 2.5 yrs. They have always favored fruit but my family INSISTED that I make them eat meat for the protein. So now I'm trying to reverse whatever damage I may have already caused by feeding them hormone pumped meats! :( I decided Its time to stop listing Dr. Oz and those who religiously follow his advice! Who the heck really need all those vitamins he's telling you to take just to cover up the underlying problems? I want better for my children. I don't want them to suffer from obesity or depression like I did when I was a kid, because I was eating to much hormone feed greasy animal products! Not to mention all the unnatural processed foods! It's no wonder I was overweight, under active, depressed and pimply as a kid knowing what I know about food now I cringe to think of all the gunk I was eating! So if you have advice on how to get my family to see that this is the right thing for myself and my children, please let me know! So glad I found a better way! :)

Comment by Jodi Nimmo on March 17, 2012 at 1:47am Hi guys. I just wanted to introduce myself. New to the group and to being raw. So excited though and in love with this lifestyle already. I have a 2.5 yr. old daughter named Gwendolyn who is loving it too so far. I'm so excited to try new things and to raise her in with love and compassion.
Comment by Adbekunkus on March 8, 2012 at 12:58am Yep, the best you can try is to be the better version of yourself so you can inspire your sister and brother in law to take a healthier path.
Love, peace and seasonal fruit.
