30 Bananas a Day!

Does this exist in the seattle area?....Wholesale fruit open to the public? Prefferably organic...within a couple of hours drive of Seattle...? Is there a place like this in Washington state even? Sure would be nice! ;)

hmm, that would be great. My bro in law is going to be running an organic community type garden with greenhouses which will be supplying a school district with produce. I hope he will be growing tomatoes. I will post as I hear any news about whether public will be able to buy anything wholesale as I heard him mention they'll be selling to restaurants if I'm not mistaken. This is going to be in the seattle area (less than an hour)

Yes, you can get an account at Charlie's Produce (close to downtown Seattle) if you are a business. I got an account a few months ago. It involved getting a credit check, which seemed unnecessary, since I told them I would be paying up front. I haven't actually bought anything from them yet, because their prices weren't all that great. But I just checked tonight and I saw that they have 25 pounds of fuyu persimmons for $41.55, 14 to 16 mangos for $16.90, and 40 lbs of bananas for $31.10. All of these are organic prices. I think I'll probably place an order soon.

Hey.  Did you guys ever place an order? I think I live practically across the street from Charlie's.. I see them parked at 9th & Jackson every morning.  Wondering how it turned out.
