Bart, Great idea on the NYC group!

Hey all NYC area people: I get all my food from this organic delivery service
doortodoororganics.com, ask for Danny, he runs this area (east usa location).
I buy everything in bulk for the following reasons:
1. If buy in bulk, you automatically eat so so many more mono meals, which is really what advanced 811 is all about - and THE goal as far as I'm concerned.
2. You save money
3. You don't have to go to the supermarket and be tempted with all kinds of stuff that you just shouldn't have to look at anymore...
4. Buying organic is where it's at! support the industry!
5. this delivery service literally drops the stuff at your door, so you save so much time.
6. If you're struggling with 811, you will stick with it better, b/c with all this massive amount of produce to eat (before it goes bad) you just eat it all up and don't consider buying other stuff that won't be good for you!

So go for it, order by the CASE only - get into mono eating, finally get your head in the game - go 811 hard core and become elite!
FYI I have 3 refrigirators! LOL, if yo have the space, you can buy good low cost refrigerators for less than $200.! (there are 5 people in my family and they also eat mostly 811, so maybe you'll only need 2 fridges if you aren't feeding so many people!)

Michael, Thank you so much for the DoorToDoor info. I got my first shipment from them on tuesday: A box of 'nanas, box of oranges, and a box of mangos. Delish! this is gonna make my life so much easier!

try the apricots! I get a box of cucumbers, so refreshing (I peel them and take out the seeds)
ask him about 'Gila Melons' - insane awesome!

I did not like Door to Door's mangoes. I got much better ones in CC Phila at the fruit carts or the Indian store. The bananas and oranges are wonderful, as are the cherries, strawberries, and blueberries. :)

I've bought their mangoes several times, and each time, I got a different brand and different quality. It's a bit of hit and miss. I got good ones last week: "aztlan" company, "kent" type.

I just signed up with door to door... How do you order cases from them? I signed up for the fruit box but I don't think it's enough... If I order cases,is it cheaper?

This corner market area in china town is THE best place to get DEALS on everything - top shelf produce (but nothing organic) but THE BEST PLACE TO GET EXOTICS AND STAPLE STUFF AT THEEEE BEST Prices!

I went there Michael, they didn't speak english but they did have longans and lychees.
