I posted a direct link to the event page in this thread (it's currently on page 5).  Next time, I'll make sure to post it on the group wall as well to increase its visibility.

Unfortunately I won't be able to make it to your upcoming tasting.  Weekends are all booked up for me till the end of summer unfortunately.  But I'm sure we'll figure out a way to link up soon :)

i definitely come once they are in the bronx ;)

Hey all!  Would anyone be interested in having a lunchtime picnic in an NYC park on July 25th?  It's a wednesday.  If anyone is willing to come out, let me know, and I'll start an Event page.

Well I work on Wednesday (near beautiful  central park on 57th..hint hint.... and 5th ave steps away from the Columbus Circle Whole Foods Market) till 4:30pm. So anytime after that could work. I would love to join you all.

sounds good...which park?

Im down

Hey guys, it looks like we have enough takers to make this happen.  I'd love to meet up at the Carl Shurtz park, starting at 2pm.  It's at East End Ave between 84th and 90th st.  It's a bit of a hidden gem in NYC:  It's off the beaten path, has great views, nice promenade, and good public bathrooms (very important!).  Also, considering how hot it's been lately, the breeze from the river might feel real nice :)   How would this work for y'all?

(Amber, I apologize for not suggesting Central Park.  We were planning to meet a bit earlier in the day, and by 4.30, we might be winding down, but I will keep your info in mind for future meetups, and hope to connect soon.)

Hey all, just posted an event page for the upcoming picnic.  Do RSVP :)
Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Hi Guys,

My sister and I will be coming to New York on the 17th Aug and was wondering whether there are any New Yorkers out there that would host us for a couple of days (17 to 20th) before we head onto Woodstock Festival.

I am from London and my sister currently lives in La Paz... so if you ever found yourself in those parts of the world you would be MORE than welcome to come stay at ours as we return the favour...

We would love to explore fruit markets in new york and hang out with some 811ers...

P

YES!!

are meetings still going on? I would be interested

me also!
