Comment by silke on December 11, 2012 at 12:57am @akitagirl78 you can eat (at least) mono meals, you can have mono days and you can live on one fruit for days or weeks ... aka mono island :)
Hi, I was just wondering.... is mono eating one certain fruit all day long, or is it just for a meal?
I hope it's okay to join even if I am not yet eating only mono meals. I want to get there someday. i mean someday soon.
I also think that mixed greens are fine (especially baby greens), because in nature we actually could be eating mixed greens a lot of times.
Recently I felt that I very much agree with Stephen's comment earlier in this thread:
"I consider a meal of one type of fruit with greens still to be a mono meal and think it is the ideal. Apart from breakfast this is how I usually eat all my meals. Start with the fruit and eventually add in the greens until you end on just greens. Most people will not manage to eat enough greens having them by themselves."

Comment by Peggy Critchlow on April 30, 2012 at 1:11pm Over the years, I started and stopped eating fruit and experimented with different ways of doing it. It seemed so natural this time when I made up my mind to do it that it should be mono-eating...in fact, I didn't think about it at all. I just don't want to do all the prep work and when I eat my fruit, I just eat until I don't want to eat anymore (except that sometimes I don't have enough fruit or money to eat a whole lot..). I realize that I need more calories because I've been a little weak with my detox. I need more energy but have to make due with what I can get right now. Lucky for me there's an orange tree down the road! So far, I've only been on this time since March 29th but I'm doing so well with mono eating that I'm sure it will be easier for me to stick with it (in spite of the omnivores in my house!). Lots of hugs!
