30 Bananas a Day!

Advantage of raw vegan mono diet in front of all diets is evident. Because this diet was given us by primordial mother nature. Simplicity of mono-eating so striking and can be difine just few words: take food item from mother nature and eat it in primordial state do not combine with anything and do not treat or process. Nothing to add and nothing to take off.

People asking me why exactly mono-eating? Why so extreme? Some of them who already transit to this diet mostly doing it because of feel sympathy with this so elementary diet. But I'll try to explain why it so important to keep mono on raw.

When we combining food we completely confuse our organism. Our stomach not like sorting machine. Just amazing how many energy need to spend and how many job need to do for digesting your smothie or salad. But If the food is all mono our stomach doesn't have to separate anybody. When you mono-eat your stomach has to deal just with one item! Thinking about that how efficiently you body can to function on mono diet.

Only one species on earth who preparing salads, making smoothie and many other reckless combination of food - this is human!

I'm following strictly mono-eating since October 2008 and it best ever diet which I tried in all my life! And if we go vegan and low fat raw we should go mono as well!

This is my old post I copied here.

I want to add fundamental benefits which I got on mono diet:

1. Simplicity. When I travel, cycling, hiking very easy and comfortable to be mono.
2. Lightness. I never felt on combining food so light perception of my stomach and digestion.
3. Efficiency. Cleansing and healing process of my body going fast and more deeper. Mono diet gives me maximum power and energy with minimum compactness and time.

In this topic please share why you also want to chose (or already chosen) mono as your permanent lifestyle.

Best way to eat!
I agree, that mono-eating is more efficient way to get nutrients out of food and helps to avoid difficulties in digestion. Totally agree with simplicity and lightness points. I could add better taste: I really enjoy one fruit at a time more than in mix. And I think smoothies loose in taste dramatically. I was trying to make different fruit smoothies for 2-3 weeks several years ago and I was very disappointed.

I disagree though that we are completely confuse our organism by combining food. First of all, there are examples of long-term raw-fooddist that mix, but are in a great health, and secondly from the stand point of biochemistry it is at least not clear yet. Where is the data showing how much energy?

Here is another discussion on mono-raw: http://www.giveittomeraw.com/forum/topics/mono-raw?xg_source=activity
I just checked out your thread on GITMR, Lena. Thanks for sharing that!

I've had a wonderful day of mono eating so far today. I've felt like my digestion is so clean and easy, and I've felt very light and energized and satisfied all day long. Whereas combining foods I often experience times of being really hungry alternating with overly full throughout the day. I am loving the simplicity (no dishes to clean!) and how easy it is to realize when I'm at my satiation point. And each food tastes so wonderful by itself.

This is awesome, and I plan to continue doing this. Today I had figs for my first two meals (about 3 pounds each), then cucumbers, and just now heirloom tomatoes. I have an avocado that is really calling me, so I may do that in a little while and then probably call it a day. This is so great! I look forward to another mono day tomorrow.
I would like to try it. It will be challenging, as there has to be enough of a kind, ripe waiting for me at each meal, twice a day, I suppose. I'll report here, how it goes for me.

I'm also a bit tired of smoothies, and salads.

My only argument with the title post's claim is: I don't think our stomachs, and the rest of our digestive system gets confused when combining fruit of similar quality. When you consider, each fruit is composed of so many different elements, that the body either needs, can use or needs to refuse. So the point of saying, that it's easier to eat raspberries away from pears for the sake of the digestive system is not very strong. They both are mainly composed of the same ingredients...water, minerals, vitamins etc. Same ratio of fats, to carbs etc.
How is everyone doing on mono meals? This is only my 3rd day, and I'm feeling very happy, appreciative of the abundance of the summer. Yesterday, it was grapefruit breakfast, cherry lunch, cherry early supper, and a banana shake (bananas + water) for later in the evening. I slept great, 9 hours. Today I'm enjoying oranges for breakfast,
cantaloupe for early lunch, huge tomatoes for late lunch, and I'll probably will feast on cherries and if I'm still hungry finish the day with bananas again. Fantastic! Why didn't my mom teach me this? I just wish....
I'm really enjoying mostly mono meals still! Especially for the earlier meals of the day. Today it was valencia oranges for breakfast, and then I'll have grapes for lunch, and figs for my after-school snack. For dinner I'm not quite at one food just yet, but I've gone down to usually having two instead of a more complicated salad like I used to. For example, last night it was tomatoes and cucumbers. It feels really nice to eat this way! So pure and simple.

Have a great day, everyone! xxxx
