Hi Kari,
I have been living the lfrd since February after reading the book 80/10/10, so I really do not feel worthy to answer your question with absolute certainty. But for me, I need to loose about the same as you. I have dropped 20 since I started. I don't really focus on the calories, if I am hungry I eat, that is important. I need to stay full on fruit otherwise my mind starts to wander. What I keep track of is calories burned. My daily goal is 800-1000 a day. I do track my workouts and what I eat on livestrong.com and find that I consume about 2000-2400 calories a day. I know when I was on banana Island they suggest you consume the calories you need to maintain your currant weight. So for me that was 2400. I lost 6+ lbs and have kept it off now for 2 weeks. I try not to obsess about the weigh, it is more about how I feel. I know the weight will come off as time goes by. So I hope this helps you. Like I said I am no expert. peace on your journey.

For those of you trying to lose weight on LFRV, approx. how many calories are you eating? Yes, I am aware that it varies for every person, but I'm talking ballpark here.

People talk about eating 2,000-3,000 calories a day, and it's obviously working for them to maintain their awesome raw, fit, healthy bodies.

I, however, have about 50-60 pounds I'd like to drop. Dr. Graham says in his book that you should figure calorie intake by taking your weight or your desired weight and multiply by 10. That is, of course, prior to figuring in your physical activity.

So, unless I'm interpreting his book incorrectly, if I'm a completely sedentary woman (which I'm not), and if my desired weight is 130, then I should be eating 1,300 calories a day, right?

FWIW, I don't have a specific number in my head of what I want to weigh in the future. I trust that as I continue eating LFRV, my body will find where it's supposed to be. I just know where I've felt comfortable, sizewise, in the past, so I'm going for 120-140. We'll see where I end up!

hellicat i hear you right now im not doing to well and my weight has dropped the Dr wants me back on the tube im just sick of this i plan to eat and then wake up and either cannot mentally or physically do it.
