Rawfruitygoddess- You are such an inspiration! I ran across your story on another site a while ago.

I am having trouble eating enough food because of eating disorders in the past. I am used to eating bad food and then not eating to offset the calories consumed from the bad food. So, for me, eating 2000 calories a day is really hard!

I have been making a 20oz smoothie with lots of bananas but it usually takes me an hour to drink it all and then I feel so full! Also, I don't like taking smoothies with me to work because they don't taste very good after an hour or so. Any tips? Will it get easier if I just do the best I can to consume more food? I think in the back of my mind I still think that eating so much will make me gain more weight. I have approximately 40lbs to lose!

Katie why would it take you 3 hours to eat 10 clementines?if you are stuggling with getting in enough fruit,then blend it that way you can get in the volume you need within an hour..then you will have the 3-4 hours between your meals that you need to leave,so you arent constantly digesting.
try focussing on eating higher calorie fruits,bananas,jackfruits,fresh dates for lunch..then after 3 hours or so have you acid and sub acid fruits like your pineapple and strawberries.
do you have the book 80 1010,if not i suggest you read it immediately.

I'm still having a hard time with eating enough calories. I have had to cut my exercises back because I am not eating enough calories to support doing as much exercise as I am.
I want to lose weight, but at a healthy speed.
Today I had 10 clementines for breakfast. It took me 3 hours! By the time I finished I only had another hour until lunch. Then I had 2 pears. As soon as I could I ate half a head of napa cabbage. Then I had 2 cups of cut up strawberries and pineapple blended with water to make a smoothie.
What should I do?

Hey there Kelso.
Firstly what makes you want to eat the salsa from the grocery store?Sounds like you are undereating,this can make cooked food and less than great for us foods,look appealing.Once eaten though we wonder why we even bothered,right?
You know that old saying,"we only fail when we fail to try"~the diet works absolutely totally 100%,it only doesnt work when we dont do it properly,sounds cliched but it's true :)

Im an all or nothing girl,and you will be happy you are when you reap those awesome results that naturally come as the body cleans out and heals and is able to repair itself properly and function to its full capacity,by providing the body with the best environment to be truly healthy this is what naturally happens,sometimes it happens quick,sometimes it takes time.Have loving patience with yourself,have fun with this way of living,eat up eat up eat up! i dont mean stuff yourself sideways,i mean eat til non foods stop looking appealing.

when i say you will not gain weight,i mean to say,you will not gain FAT,you will gain healthy lfrv muscle,big difference :)

Hello there,i have joined to see if i can help any of you struggling with getting your head around eating the volume we needto,to really thrive on 811..
please don't worry,you will not gain weight,you simply won't,especiallly if you are keeping an eye on the amount of fatty fruits you are eating,that you are really adhereing to 811 properly,that means no salt,etc.
Pls let me know if i can help any of you,feel free to ask me any questions.
I am in my 7th year of eating rv,i have had my share and then some,of struggles and concerns,and it has taken me up until this year to really shed(most) of my eating disorder mentality..it rears up occasionally,but my rational healthy mind kicks in pretty quickly.

its just because here on this board you hear so much about eating more, but my head tells me "not you you are not as active as them" or "the are guys" or "they have fast metabolisms" ect and i mean i medically should maybe gain a bit more but i dont want to so if i eat more i probs will but i want to eat more its so crazy in my head.
