Hi guys
I'm new to hcrv myself and would like to know how long does it take (I know everyone's different but on average) to shed those extra kgs (including the ones you gain in the beginning of hcrv). I've got some important events coming up in july and august where I need to look my best.
Do you guys think it's realistic to get into shape till July? I think I need to get rid of 8 kgs (17.6 lbs)
Please share your experience! Thanks

Hi Oshra
Well I never experienced gaining weight when starting lfrv (I have been verry much on and off the diet, starting back right now) but i have made raw food 6 month in a raw ( with a few slips in beetween) in my pregnancy and ended up beeing 9 kilos lighter right after birth than befor the pregnancy...
I think 8 kg till july is a verry realistic goal, of course if you stay on the program.
I saw in a documentary ( "Food matters" if I remember correctly) that you can make yourself a whole new body in 3 month...
I wish you to stay on track and reach your goal

Well, I truly believe this is a perfect and the best way of eating. But I have to admit the inner demons are so challenging to fight with! My fear to gain weight is still holding me back a bit.
I think I just really need to organise myself and prepare my guns for this fight :)
Permalink Reply by 811Vegan on January 22, 2012 at 5:12am I think that is a realistic goal providing you eat well and do some exercise. I lost that amount of weight in less than 12 weeks when I was eating and exercising consistently. I cycled to work to ensure that I got my regular exercise and did a little resistance training on top of this (one HIT workout every for days).
Don't forget, being new to hcrv, that if you fall off the wagon then just get back on it again. Most people have the occasional day where, for whatever reason, they crave something else and eat poorly. If you do, don't beat yourself up. Just start eating clean again the next day.
Permalink Reply by Osha Key on January 27, 2012 at 7:54pm I am eating around 2000-2500 calories each day. I am doing quite successfully staying 80/10/10 calorie wise. But not 100% raw yet..

Permalink Reply by DCDrew on February 18, 2012 at 5:25pm I started HCRV January 1, when I decided that I had to seriously change my life and lose weight or I wasn't going to last very long on this earth. The first couple weeks were difficult but after that its been the most wonderful life changing experience. Just to tell you a little bit about my experience and the power of this lifestyle change...I have absolutely no calorie restrictions, and since January 1 I've lost around 35-40lbs with moderate exercise (I jog every other day for about 45 min). I still have a long way to go to be healthy, but once you start putting the right things into your body, your body will heal itself rather quickly. That has been my experience. :-)
