Comment by Rachel Fleming on April 13, 2012 at 1:24pm Also, as an aside, according to raw foodist DTM, you have to stay away from all overt fats until your acne is healed and then you can supposedly begin eating them again. I don't know about eating them again... but as for me, staying away from them seems to reduce my break outs slightly.
Comment by Rachel Fleming on April 13, 2012 at 1:22pm Has anyone ever heard of or gotten rid of acne by juice feasting?
Also, I have tried using aloe leaves. I would apply the gel every night and it helped reduce the redness. This seemed to only produce incremental improvements, however.
And does anyone wash their face with raw honey? I've heard that the natural antibiotics really help.
Comment by Stephanie McClennon on April 12, 2012 at 7:54am Melissa, I notice this too. Also, when I go overt-free, my acne disappears. This weekend I had some chia seeds and guess what, it came back. It's not nearly as bad as it was on cooked food, but still. Overt-free is the only way for me.
CocoSofia, try to get your kidneys filtering. I bet milk thistle would be beneficial but maybe do some more researching and try to get a really good quality product. I really love the herbs from God's Herbs, though. Make sure you're also taking care of the other aspects of your health. It's not all about diet.
I actually ate according to my blood type with steamed brooccoli and pumkin and then raw veg according to blood type and my skin cleared up within days!
Comment by CocoSofia on April 10, 2012 at 8:08pm Hey there, what do you guys think about Milk Thistle? I read someone taking 200mg pills at day heal acne within weeks... My wedding is coming up and I dont know what else to do...
Comment by Ryan Harris on March 5, 2012 at 9:35am For those who are dealing with Rosacea, my friend Jen cured hers and created an organic skincare line for people who are dealing with itThe Rosacea Report_HolisticallyHealingYourRosaceaCondition.pdf. Here is a draft of a free report she sent me. I hope it helps.
Comment by Melissa on February 25, 2012 at 2:21am I have noticed that the more sleep I get, the better my skin looks when I wake up. I believe it really just allows it to heal and rejuvenate. Maybe this will help some others? Ive been getting 9-10 hours lately.
@ Jeannie_Raw that love hopefully will see. I am sticking to it but I need to increase foods as I am tired I know itscause Im not eating enough. But I will perservere increase my foods and keep going. "Why do we fall? To learn to pick ourselves up again!" Did you have any skin problems or coated tongue or anything? Peace and Love xo
Comment by Jennie_Raw on December 16, 2011 at 5:48am @ Vegan Princess: haha, yeah getting rid of acne means getting rid of the symptom of a deeper problem that's aggravated by a chronic or acute habit - generally this is the input of toxic substances or substances that produce toxins once metabolized... some of it clogs up in the liver and when it's finally released then you get this big wave of increased acne that seems counterintuitive. At least this is my understanding of the situation from what I've read and experienced personally. Theoretically, with continued adherence to clean eating, those symptoms should go back down over time. But you've got to stick with it, it seems. :) joy in the journey!
@ Dreamer what was the overt fats is that the avos or is that the other stuff I havent had any fat
