Hey fruity girl it was only 2 years ago it is a state law and if it's a service animal it won't be as strict but still look into it. I'm on big island have lived off grid before let me know when your on your way we can connect :)

hey FruityGirl I would recommend the Big Island if you want to get off grid. Check out some of the things happening in the Puna area on that island. Peace.

Aloha,

Haven't been on here for a while. Checking in to see if anyone is on Kauai? I've been here for almost 4 years and would like to connect with some more fruity's.

Alanna how long ago was that? My dog will get around a lot of that I think.. He is my therapy dog.. :) Thxs for info.. So many things keep changing.. not sure when I can leave to go anywhere..

hey FruityGirl have you seen the quarantine state law? Your dog needs to go through a long process while your still on the mainland before you come to Hawaii or else he has to live in quarantine for at least 3 months. The rules are really vague but it can be a 4 month process on the mainland. I really didn't understand before I moved to HI and my dog had to go to quarantine for a few weeks.  Just wanted to let you know incase you didn't :)

Thinking of moving to Hawaii for awhile.. Just need to find out more about travel options with my old little dog.. Never will leave him. The best thing about Hawaii.. I don't have to worry about a Visa. Need to look into fruity communities??.. Places to live.. Anyone need a roommate or a temp living situation when i first get there? Would love to live off grid or something. Nature girl here. Love to forage! Live simply, cheaply.. :)

That sounds awesome, Zachary! There is another event taking place the same day on the island in Hawi. It's a free showing of Cowspiracy hosted by my lovely friends at the vegan commune called Gentle World. It's at 1:00 PM and there will be free vegan snacks and drinks (the commune is on its own farm that grows tasty organic fruits and vegetables). Message me for more info if anyone is interested! Sounds like it could be a fun day starting with that followed by the fruitluck!

hey everyone.  i'm on big island, right now near pahoa, but ... it's a small island : )

I just wanted to take inventory of who is here, active, wants to meet up, wants to host a FRUITLUCK PARTY at their house?  ( i'm kind of between places right now or I'd do it ).  If my situation changes and I can host a FRUITLUCK pARTY I will let you all know right away.

I would be glad to network with other "fruitarians" or cool people or whatever, hoping to find some cute girls to give me massage, feed me durian, u know?  Every day, I wake up, another perfect day, so grateful to be on this island swimming in the ocean with dolphins today, drinking cocos, aloha <3 <3 <3

Hi guys! I've just moved to Honolulu from Sweden and would love to get your best tips where to get the best and most affordable fruit? I visited KCC farmers market today but found it a bit pricy (and non-organic?). Where do you buy fruit in bulk? Hugs!
