Comment by Celine Walden on May 18, 2013 at 9:33am hey christopher, i usually get my lady fingers in mudgeereeba along springbrook road, ( i love lady fingers , i hardly eat cavendish haha) theres an old guy who has his own organic lady finger banana farm up in mudgeereeba and he just sells them on the side of the road for 3.50kg. they taste absolutely amazing ! u can message me and i can give u the exact address and or his phone number. hes only selling on sundays so maybe ill see u there this sunday. 3.50 a kg may seem alot but its really not for such good quality and organic ! and also brooke, i would love to go down to burringbar when i get a drivers license haha, can you get me the address ?
Hi Christopher,
The tastiest and cheapest bananas (both finger & cav's) are well worth a 35 minute drive down to Burringbar. There is a small farm where a farmer grows the bananas and they are all naturally ripened, (All the bananas in shops, whether organic or commercial, have been gas ripened & you can tell as a bunch will ripen all at the same time) so taste amazing! And they are only $2 a kilo. I buy a case a week.
PM me and ill give you his address.

Comment by Celine Walden on February 20, 2013 at 4:47pm harbour town discount fruit barn is cheap, but not always fresh , i still buy my bulk mangoes there all the time tho !
Hi Rob:)
My favourite places to shop are Mrs Flannerys at Robina, Wrays Organic at Palm Beach, Palm Beach Currumbin Farmer's Markets every Saturday morning and the Organic Markets at Miami High School every Sunday morning.
Rob, Tropical Fruit World Market tends to have fruit options you may not find in other places but they are expensive.
Comment by Rob Wilmoth on February 19, 2013 at 8:27pm HI I am living on the gold coast and would like some advice as to were the good local food outlets are. I like to buy bulk, and fresh fruit. Suggestions would be very welcome.
Thank you for your help, Rob.
Comment by Melongirl on November 11, 2012 at 1:39pm Hello Gold Goast fruity people. Where is the best place to live in goldcoast, brisbane area for good fruit and cheapish rent? My partner and I are looking to move up from Bendigo, Victoria. The fruits s***e and it's freezing over winter. We are both going to be unemployed when we move up there so the rent needs to be a decent price. Very excited for the move and looking forward to meeting some of you! xo
