@Agnes- I wash my face with olive oil and castor oil once or twice a week. I have dry skin that has gotten better but this still helps and I feel it is important to get rid of the grime your face collects in daily life.  My advice is to wait a bit and see if your skin needs any outside assistance do to environmental impacts. Then find a natural remedy for it. This could be as simple as steaming your face once a week.

What a wicked group! As working in the fitness industry there is no need to wear makeup and I love the fact I feel fine with out it whilst many of the other girlie trainers feel like they need it. Strange! I also come from a family where neither my mum or sister wear it. I wonder if that is why it feels so comfortable for me :)

kate, i use gabriel cosmetics powder, concealer, mascara and blush when i'm at work, though i'm experimenting with my own fruit makeup because i want to go really natural with my makeup without being completely barefaced.

i have a question, im a newbie, only been raw for almost a week! do any of you use any facial cleansing washes? Once i went raw I stopped using mine and figured we don't need that stuff, but im just curious!

@Kate - no offense intended. Just made me laugh as a person who wears none. Have no issue with those who choose it :) I can certainly understand it if it is your workplace.

Angelica - thanks + goodidea, I used bodyshop products many  years ago and liked them,so will investigate.

Ali - I'm a studio instructor; I like to wear some makeup for classes (except Spin - impossible!).  Most instructors I know put on a "face"; not sure if anyone notices though.

@RT Kate - In regards to running, check out this program. http://www.c25k.com/c25k_metric.html. I have used it in the past and it is very easy to follow, only 20 mins of run/walk a week and really helps you build up to the 5k. I personally start out running on paths that are less used, or in the evenings when there are fewer people out. I use their free podcasts for convenience. http://www.c25k.com/podcasts.htm

@Kate - I find the question of which mascara to wear to the gym makes me laugh :D

Hey I'm guessing this is a looong question to answer but I'd love some of ya to help
Me get back on a girl-gone-raw worthy fitness regime to accompany my re-start at raw (after 3yrs off in hospital/illness!?)
Pretty out of shape right now. Like yoga and being outdoors. Running scares me (getting injured and looking like an idiot scares me) but I think id probably love it if I knew how to start on a programme. I get the basics like one foot in front of th other and bounce, but some exercises to
Strengthen the old joints first or just some confident able person to set me up on a weekly start up so I can eventually be running 25 min 5ks with the best of y'all would be super help?!!
Thanks a lot fruity sisters xxx

Can anyone recommend a nice, creamy foundation?  I have used Max Factor for many years, but since joining 30bad am inspired to be cruelty-free.  I had a lot to use up, but am finishing supplies.

I bought BWC a few months back, it was horrible; watery and very poor coverage.  Their mascara was no better; also watery, no use to an active gym-goer.

Are there cruelty-free companies who make more creamy products with some staying power?  It's expensive to keep experimenting and throwing stuff out unused.
