I feel like I have done quite a bit of research on that, however, does anyone now any amazing deals/ suppliers/ shops?

Having said that, I often shop at Countdown in the evening to buy multiple bags of spinach that are marked down as they are close to their 'sell by' date. It is worth keeping an eye out as there are sometimes some good ripe fruit being sold at good prices.
There was a shop called Fresh N Save that is now called Supervalue that is better value for fruit. There is also another fruit shop called Fresho that is usually as good value. Both of them often have ripe fruit that is sold cheaper than the unripe (bonus).
So the bulk of my fruit comes from Supervalue and Fresho.
Permalink Reply by Sarah on January 22, 2012 at 5:43am I buy one box of organic fair trade bananas delived for 50. The rest comes from my local fruit and vegie shops and I visit a market a week. The cost for fruit and vegies are the same at the fruit and vegie shop as the markets are but the fruit and vegie has imported fruit like mangos. I like mangos.
