Carlie i just saw this video and she says that eating more than a third of an avocado per day is too much fat http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9YEfYJVCvhg&feature=g-all-u.
Also me and Jerome will go to this raw pot-luck next week anyone else interested? http://www.meetup.com/rawfood-319/

Comment by Dipan on May 27, 2012 at 3:04am Hey Guys
Hows it going? Im in costa rica now and i have been fully raw for the first time in my life for 4 weeks now. I am also trying to heal from colitis. I would love to know where in montreal I can get boxes of good bananas, kale, celery, cucumbers and mangoes for when I come back. And id love to meet you guys as well.
Comment by Carlie on May 27, 2012 at 2:15am Hmm yesterday I felt sick:(. I had barely slept the night before though i think because it was hot. I made sorbet in the morning which gave me approx 800 calories, then I had 6 or 7 big mangoes for lunch, which was about 700-800 calories...and a salad for dinner with my friends at Aux Vivres with an oily dressing, maybe 200 calories tops, and high fat (oops). I was not hungry though, I kind of felt sick all day:S I slept really well last night to compensate though. I will eat more today! I'm starving! And no fat lol
Comment by François Lacharité on May 26, 2012 at 10:10pm Yes if the diet makes him stressed out this is not good. Emotional balance is very important too!
Maybe he will increase his pourcentage naturally seeing how eating cooked food makes him feel compared to raw food. Has he read 80/10/10? The knowledge is also a good motivator!
Comment by Melanie on May 26, 2012 at 7:04am He's very sweet indeed! I am glad you're both doing what you can for this little baby to come! A low fat, 50% raw is definitely a good compromise for him, way better than a SAD diet.
Comment by Carlie on May 26, 2012 at 1:46am Lol i put a teaspoon of bottled pesto in my raw spaguetti once or twice. I don't really care about that though. I am definitely succeeding. But my boyfriend said he has to give up now..he can't stand mangoes anymore and having to prepare so many smoothies in advance makes him stressed out for work, (he just got a new job..) and hes not as into it as I am obviously. So he's making a compromise, hes going to eat at least 50% raw or more(minimum 1500 cals from fruit everyday) and the rest will be low fat, brown rice, quinoa and stuff like that, with a lot of salad to accompany those meals. I'm glad he succeeded for 2 weeks and is making all this effort though and keeping the 811 program:) The good news is he says he will be able to invest more in my diet so I get more variety and he says it will be good for the baby. :):) Hes so sweet!
Comment by François Lacharité on May 25, 2012 at 5:13am KEEP IT UP ;)
I've cheated a little, I had some artichoke hearth trying to convice myself they were raw. Anyway I still consider that I'm suceeding. I'm more than 99% hcrv and feel great, I had my best work-out at the gym yesterday so far!
