I'm not Hungarian but since half a yr I live in Hungary :) I was not successful last winter trying to find clean and affordable ripe fruits en masse. But a member of this forum homo fructus told me last month that http://www.nagybani.hu/  provides produce at wholesale prices. No clue about their quality but will find out possibly next week. I will post my findings if this is really good.

I am Hungarian...but I don't live in Hungary...I feel your pain though. The past 3 months I was living in Croatia and it is difficult to find things...

Hey there guys.
Are there any other Hungarian fruit eaters around here? I am really having a hard time finding quality fruit during the winter and autumn and would love to hear how you get by during those periods.

Hi Europe,

So I'm going to Rome in the fall, with my school, and I want to know some places I can get cheap, organic fruits. Does anyone know? :)

G'day Darcy here, I'm a 15 month raw foodist from australia, I've mainly been in the tropics or southern Aussie summer since going raw, feeling great, I'm coming to Europe or the first time, attending Cannes, playing some football, cycling, wwoofing and doing a coaching course, ill mainly be in Cannes & Seville, spending 4-8 weeks depending on fruit/leaves avalibility, arrive in Paris on July 17, and plan to leave from Rome in the first week on July, wondering what I should budget daily for fruit, I expect some days that it will be the only thing ill pay for, like Sth Oz I can get by camping, cycling, hitching, wwoofing, dumpster-diving, foraging, using my water filter, to keep my expenses down, willing to spend up to be 20 euro to be raw organic vegan, I don't mid eating cold rice, potato, pumpkin, oats if organic, could someone give me an idea how I can organise my trip from nice on to Seville so I'm always around good feral trees, farmers markets and wholesalers, ill cycle about half of it, I guess the most important time also is Paris but given the only other big cities I'm goin to r Barcelona & Rome when maybe I don't need to worry about cheap supermarket organics, but I rely on that in Oz in Perth/Melb in past. Advice appreientated, I'm a wild guy & can easily mono on one fruit as long as I can get a good salad come sun down, I'm hoping the south of France & Spain are a bit like north melb or suburban Adelaide, good roads, weather, easy to forage fruit and find the odd market, fruit isn't my main reason for coming, I plan on coming in the future but again not for fruit, mainly some wwoofing, festivals and such, so I don't mind just getting a feel for the continent in general as a raw foodists, btw I would never go north of Denmark or west of Greece but that's to do with personal preferences when it comes to diet, scenery, comfort, also ill be travelling with 4kg so all that will be in my panniers are fruit so I won't be grading as much as I do here in thai, any reccomendations would be welcome, cheers D

I'd loooove to go to all these countries and share these fruits and activities! Yeah!! Not France for me, there are too many crazy psychiatrists active and police working for them in France. I'm in Hungary right now and am learning about planting new trees there. So in some years you'll be invited to share my fruits! This country has banned GMOs!!! What a courage to say no to the gmo lobby!
