FRUIT IN BULK!??????? DENVER

Hi Everyone I'm new to this site and new to the Denver area. Just wondering if anyone knows of where I can get my hands on some wholesale fruit in the area?

Costco has a lot of good bulk produce but most of it is conventional. They do have some organic things though like lettuce, carrots, and apples.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's like $50 for a membership for a year but they give you two cards so you can split it with a friend. It's definitely worth it!

Oh and I'm not really a fan of the bananas they have there because I find that they ripen weirdly for some reason so you may want to try them before loading up on too many haha other than that though they have a ton of fruit and most of it is really good.

Yea i know what you mean! I bought a 2 bunches of bananas from safeway and they tasted literally sour and gross. Luckily it was only 2 :) I really appreciate the advice. Oh idk if you go to sunflower market at all but yesterday my roommate and i picked up a 40 lb box of bananas for $21.00 and we each got about 45 or so out of it. They also had cantaloupes 4 for 5 dollars lol so i actually bought 4 for 75c more than one i had bought earlier that week.

That's a good deal! Were they good bananas? My favorite kind are the earth bananas that they have at whole foods which are 69c per lb but it's mostly the Dole bananas that I don't like. That's nice that your roommate is on this lifestyle too I'm sure that makes it a lot easier :)

Yeah they are good but not great ha. I love thos earth bananas 8) they rock! These are just chiquita. Yea having a friend that you also live with and isn't cooking bacon and eggs every morning butis making smoothies with you instead is def. a plus. Lol

So I just started getting my produce through Growers Organic. They do cash orders and I've been saving about 30% overall on my groceries. I make a trip like once a week, but if anyone wants to start doing shares, it would be nice to limit drive time and not be overwhelmed with too much food sometimes. Let me know if anyone is interested...

I know Growers thats where the vitamin cottage I worked at got 1/3 of its produce. There are also 2 other vendors I found working there Fresh Pack Produce and Alberts Organics.

I'm curious if you are still interested in doing some shares, 2 months after your original post. Also does Growers allow walk ins or do you need to order in advance and then pick it up.

Let me know, I'll be looking to shop for myself and possibly my brothers family.
