I have been hcrv for a month now, and I used to eat sunflower seeds like crazy, what would be a good substitute for the seeds, something to snack on during the day, at work, would raisins be ok? Any ideas would be helpful, i am an ex-smoker and have cravings sometimes, the snacks help.

Anyone converted the 80/10/10 to aussie measurements! cups and tbsp rather than oz and lb.'s...

I google the conversions and they are often different depending on the food that they are... a little confused.

Hello everybody:-) I am also new on the 80-10-10(0n my 7th day) and i come from a Raw high fat vegan diet. So what i have experienced is when starting this diet is, fatigue even though i try to get almost 3 liters of water in, and an almost total of 2500-3000 cal in from fruit and veggies. And to be quite sincere i have been struggling with stomache aches The Melon belly and i have a hard time getting out on my runs due to tiredness and a belly full of fruit:-) and a weight gain. My questions are did i go to fast into the diet? It was from one day to the other-because it feels right for me, the animals and mother nature. The week prior my diet i had penicillin because i got sick, so that was the last straw for me just jumping into it, to never look back at diseases, bad health yo-yo weight and so on...Thanks everybody:-)

Like any other vitamin or mineral that you might ingest more than your body needs, you will just pee it out :)

Just wondering . . . . assuming that you are getting enough calories from fruit, is it possible to eat too many greens?  Can we get too much vitamin K from the greens?  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Jimmy- seems to be getting better actually. There rest of my body has aclamated very well so i'm confident my mouth will fall in line.

ANNA- the only negative experience I have had (5 weeks in) is eating too much too fast and getting what I learned is called "melon belly". This was a pain in the stomach that at 1 time was so bad I literally had to lay down (which didn't help). Since I drinking my large banana smoothies slower I have had no issues. From what I know 1 week isn't that long to rule out detox symptoms although I don't think detox symptoms would occur immediately after you eat. This isn't very helpful I realize, but I wanted to comment on it anyway :)

Is it normal to feel like a heavy pressure/pain/fatigue in between and on my shoulders after a big meal of fruit? I don't know if its detox because its been a little over a week on 80/10/10.

I see......Its probably nothing if there's no inflammation, maybe some temporary sensitivity of mucous membrane?

JIMMY- haha- well I drink a lot of water because I work outside for 8-12 hours and I also run/bike and sweat a lot. I will admit- I pee all the time lol! No ulcers inside that I can tell. Hmm.. Mystery. It's not really uncomfortable just a little different feeling than normal. I will have to investigate further.

Thank you Jimmy, Oshra and John. Yes, my mom is caring. I don't get into arguments with her, I do stay back. But she quietly hints to my husband that we are "starving" our son and that upsets me that she thinks that. It's because when we are at my parent's house for dinner (once a week), he eats, for example, 3 bowls of quinoa and won't eat the vegetables that were put out for him. (However at my house it's the opposite).  He then sleeps over and spends Saturday with my parents. He usually gets eggs and (sprouted spelt) toast for lunch. Tonight at her house, he asked for walnuts, and when she brought them he grabbed them as if he'd better get it before it's gone... and that worried my  mother that he is going to have issues with food when he is older. But he's not like that at our house. Interesting that we have noticed that in the last 2 weeks, his development seems to have skyrocketed - he's saying such intelligent things for a 33 month old and his speech and vocab are astounding us: also my parents were away during that time so he did not get fed by them during this time!
