Comment by Jaiid the Singer on May 16, 2012 at 3:42pm Hi Laura Beth! Glad to have you on board! I am still transitioning myself over to LFHCRV-Fruitarianism from Vegan which I am also relatively new to.. My partner is also doing the same :) The great thing about 30BAD is that it's global, so whatever time you need to get online and ask a question or cry for help there is always someone, somewhere that can help! WELCOME! J x
Comment by Laura Beth Gibson on May 16, 2012 at 4:20am Hi! Well, I went full on LFRV this past Saturday. I didn't have a transition period, I just went for it. I have literally no support at home, rather tons of opposition, and would love to have people to talk to and support me with it. I'm glad to be here with all of you awesome people!
Comment by Sunny on May 10, 2012 at 12:44pm That is correct many bottled water companies sell you tap water. If it doesn't say it is purified and how it is purified it is tap water this includes spring water straight from the ground with all the impurities including antibiotics, hormones, and other pharmaceuticals if you live in the USA. The Berkey water filter takes out the flouride with a special filter. No electricity needed it is gravity fed and can even clean mud water if need be. I got mine from Lekoma. Plastic bottles leach toxins into the water especialy if you leave it is a hot car. It also fills our landfills. Lekoma also sells sports bottles with the filter in that you can refill anywhere.

Comment by anabea on May 2, 2012 at 9:11pm Yael - I am finally losing weight. IT has taken months of transitioning. I "needed" the cooked food for a while during this. Now, when I do cooked, it is only a steamed vegetable. But, getting here, for some reason, took a long time. Maybe age, hormones, habits, damage.... (I am 47) I don't know. But, I am finally almost 100% and feeling so much better and my body is releasing. There is great wisdom here on this site and I have found it very helpful. (Lekoma has been amazing - he is quite balanced and insightful!! There have been others too) What has struck me is that some get this from one day to the next and transition seemingly over night. It didn't happen for me that way. So, just hold on... there are so many ways of doing this. I know the weight thing is very painful. Try to eat as much sweet juicy fruit as you can. Bring it with you everywhere so you are NEVER caught without food. If you are craving, it means you are hungry. Dieting has stifled that impulse. So, it confused me in the beginning. Now, I do what I am supposed to - I eat!
Comment by Yael Feit on May 2, 2012 at 5:46pm OH NO. I have been like 75-100% depending. I guess thats the problem. Mara and Lekoma thanks so much... I will let you know!!
