30BaD note: juicing (without the pulp) is not ideal for most people, it's far better to eat the whole fruit. why?

Lipids are fats... so 29.5 grams of fat in an avocado... that's very high :-)

Avocados, raw, all commercial varieties
Fruits and Fruit Juices

avocados are not by any means low fat

Ok I really want to know what fruit are low fat because I have no clue!!! All I can find is telling two different things. One site says something like avacados are low fat and the next site says they are not low fat!!! I'm so confused! Please help!

Hi Udoka,

im pretty much low fat cooked vegan (lets say at least 6 days a week) :) eating this way really encouraging me to eat more fruit because eating grains without oils and salt are not very tasty! Im trying to keep salt to the minimum but i do add just a little to make grains taste a little better. Some grains dont need salt which is great! Especially when you can add a couple of mushed bananas or dates (mixem them into paste with a little water in a mixer). Thats great with rice, buckwheat, millet, oats and buglar wheat. I have that for breakfast sometimes but normally i just eat frut for breakfast. For lunch i would have some cooked grains or lentils with lots of vegetables and greens (either way cook them or add as a salad), use tomato and celery and you wont need salt, but when im out of celery i add a little. Make sure you only use unrefined sea salt that has not got any additieves or has been bleached! Sometimes i add i little bit of beans like chickpeas. For dinner i would have either datorade with 20 dates (and sometimes add apple and a pinch od cinnamon to that) or smoothie with loads of bananas in it! Very rarely i would have a cooked meal like soup or some pasta with vegetables but its always harder to wake up in the morning after so i dont like doing ut very often!

Eating this way really encourages me to eat more fruit and less cooked food! After doing for 5 weeks i can say the amount of fruit and fresh greens i eat is much bigger! i guess its easier to be organised with grains and potatoes, but i realise how not tasty they are compare to fruits and im hoping i will transition to a 100% raw very soon :) hope that helps!

Eat bread?,in what situation?,when we cant get enough fruit?

Comment by Udoka Omenukor on April 7, 2012 at 3:42pm

Hey guys. I'm trying to adjust here, but I seem to eat too much fat. I do not eat enough fruit because I get "tired" of eating quickly. To fill up, I end up eating cooked vegetables or nuts. I am getting too much fat to stay 100% on the fruit. Any tips to reduce fat as I try to ease my way to increasing how much fruit I can eat? Also, its hard to be buying so much food. Recently, Freelee has been saying eat bread. That would fill me up, but I do not agree that one should eat bread just to stay high carb.
