30 Bananas a Day!

Hello Everyone,

I hope you all are looking forward to another week of being raw :) I know I am!

I did pretty good last week. Still not 100% yet though there are days that are 100%. This weekend was not so good. I did end up having a decaf last night and tater tots yesterday and french fries Saturday night (not from McDonalds or any other fast food place). Early this morning I woke with both knees hurting.

I do not feel guilty or want to beat myself up over this. I knew I would fall off the wagon at some point. The thing that matters the most is that I learned from it and have provisions for next time so it won't happen again, at least not for this particular circumstance. I love learning new tips and tricks from my mistakes!!!

Three quotes that I like to remember are:

  • Tomorrow is another day!
  • Rome was not built in a day!
  • You didn't get this way over night!
As I sit here and type this I am downing a 10 banana smoothie. I do have a question, while drinking banana smoothie with no other fruit added I experience:
1. Burning in the back of the throat. I know it is best to eat bananas alone so I have been trying that but there is this burning. Not bad but not fun either.
2. Belching and hiccuping a lot as well during and after.
Anyone experience these as well?
I am back with tring one day at a time with 100% raw.
How is everyone else doing?
Happy fruiting!

the problems your having with digestion shouldn't last to long. ...the more you consume cooked high fat foods the longer this issue will remain. if your going to eat cooked food if you keep it vegan and high carb you'll see far fewer negative effects. both with phisical and/or emotional effects. if you can eat it with alot of raw fiber, (a saled) as well this will greatly help your digestion. :)

Thanks for your input. No hiccups or belches today and I had 20 bananas. My first time getting to that goal :)

hi love ur postive attuade andyour right not to beat urself up about some indrescretions keep up the good work ur helping urself and others

Thank you so much for your encourageing words! They make all the difference in the world :)
I agree. You're helping me. I fell off the bandwagon when my parents visited. I felt guilty and doomed to feel like crap forever. Then, I read your post, ad replaced those thoughts with, "one day at a time," and "I didn't get this way over night." thanks for sharing your positive attitude!

Hi Jessica, I am glad those quotes helped you. Keep up the positive attitude :)

well done!

Im only on day 6 but 100% raw and loving it :) havent experienced any 'side effects' of anything so far... apart from the fact that instead of getting ready for my exams in reading on raw stuffs. oops.

keep up the good work!

Day 6 :) That is great! Keep it up. I find it hard to study as well when there is all the great info to take in..LOL Hope you do well on your exams.
