30 Bananas a Day!

Hello, I want to make a transition into a raw diet, but I am currently quite thin.  I wouldn't want to get thinner and I'm worried that I will.  I just ordered that 80 10 10 book and perhaps that will clear things up.  Anyone have any insights into something like this?

Yep Jason your right the 80/10/10 book will clear that up along with many other things. Also Mantika is spot on too :)

I was looking OK before I started, but then got thinner, but I was not doing enough strength muscle building exercises.. And as Mantika suggests, I too was eating way too little. Remember its a lifestyle diet, we need to eat well, breathe well, train well, think, move, smell, imagine and dream well.. It goes on and on really, eating raw low fat mainly fruitarian is just an ingredient in the soup of life, albeit an important one..

Peace Love Rainbows and Fruit mate :))

My experience is also that the only way to gain weight on this diet, at least for me personally, is to weight-train in order to build muscle.  Of course eating enough calories is essential, and I suppose theoretically it might be possible to gain weight just by eating more calories than you need (independent of weight training), but the reality for me is that unless I exercise, I am not hungry enough to want to eat the excess calories required for gaining weight.  Now I only wish I had more time to exercise so that I could put on some more muscle (and maybe fat too, because I think that if you're very thin to begin with, you can put on some fat together with some muscle by consuming more calories than you burn - but the required appetite for doing so comes from exercising, in my experience at least).

811rv is not a calorie restrictive diet.  In fact, just the oposite.  You will probably be consumig much more fruit and many more calories than you ever had before.  Eating raw vegan and 811 especially your body will simply go to a natural and sustainable weight that is healthy for you.

The main focus is not weight, it is health through nutrition, exercise, rest, digestion, sunshine and outdoor activities.
