30 Bananas a Day!

Okay, so I've been a pretty bad newbie ... :( I've been trying to stick to LFRV, but I have kept giving in to cravings for cooked vegan food or worse, chocolate. :(

HOWEVER! After watching Freelee's latest video on transitioning to LFRV, I really like the meal plan guidelines she layed out and I am newly inspired to do a 30 Day challenge. Starting with being raw till supper and then having LFV cooked food like potatoes or sweet potatoes appeals vastly to me. I just need a buddy, and this is the best place for me to look for one. :) Is anyone interested? We could even form a group if possible!

Peace, love and seasonal fruit!

I totally agree with you!

How is everyone doing so far? Lets keep up the positivity, and excitement! We can do this! I hope everyone has a fruit filled day!

A great fruity day continuing!

I'm having bananas and pears for lunch, probably in a smoothie, and steamed rice with fat&salt-free tomato-mushroom sauce (homemade) along with a salad for supper.

To tell the truth, I am still fighting off-and-on with my old enemy ED - aka eating disorder - but I have confidence in this diet to help me leave it behind.

Day three for me down, so far no cooked food. Having a bit of a craving for sweets however not giving in. I did have a bit of a rough day today and at work (I'm a cna) i was literally told by a nurse that I could overdose on potassium and could die from eating too many bananas and then told by another that sugary fruit causes diabetes! And these are nurses caring for residents...I was so flustered I wanted to leave work. I get tired of being harassed for my eating habits and then told ridiculous things like ill die or get diabetes. My husband is so supportive it makes it all feel better. Hoping for a better day emotionally tomorrow and I'm wishing all of you fruity success as well. BTW what have you guys been eating each day?

we are soooo sensitive to others' remarks when we take a different path.... I only tell what I do to open minded people, to the others I say that I am on a diet, point.good for you that your husband is supportive that's a huge difference.

how many calories do you eat?

I try to get as many calories as I can and I don't always calculate how many I'm taking in. I know that I am not reaching my 3000 a day most of the time, thats why I was interested in seeing what everyone else has been eating.

well, I started 2 weeks ago at 1200 (i was calorie restricting before so my stomach was very small) and now I can reach 2300, not more for the moment.

this morning i had 1 kg apple/pear juice freshly made. I woke up late so I only had that.

at lunch I had 1.5 kg cantaloupe melon, 400g apricot and 3 medjool dates. that's 1300 cal so far.

I am less and less bloated after eating more than 1kg melon or watermelon. I drink a lot water  before eating and not after.

Im in!! forminga group for this would be great! :)

Hi everyone!   Hope you're all doing well.  Was anyone able to download the "new to LFRV" book under the ebooks.  The workbook one?   (I am not on facebook, and it seems to prompt for a facebook login?)

Thanks

you need a Scribd account, I gave the link previously in the thread

in order to download something you need to upload a file or subscribe to a monthly sub...

Sorry for the confusion, Loloford.  Thanks for the info again. I'll re-look for the link you mentioned.

I've downloaded numerous e-books before, and they were all simple and straightforward to do so.  Whereas, I'd never heard of Scribd or having to subscribe to something monthly to access them.  Hence, the confusion.  That, and I'm not computer savvy!!    :-)     Thanks again.

ahahah yes, I was confused too when I tried to download it, don't worry :-)

you can read it without downloading it anyway...
