30 Bananas a Day!

Well, here I am on a fantastic journey to health!!!  I had a green smoothie for breakfast, 5 bananas, 1 c strawberries, 2 c greens.  Then, I had a couple of apples an hour later as I was hungry!  I am trying to keep the cravings at bay, so far so good.  I did still have my cup of coffee though.  I will eliminate this as the week goes on.  I  think I will make a big fruit salad for lunch.  I have mangoes, bananas, strawberries, kiwi and pineapple.  I am planning to have a big salad for dinner with 1/2 an avocado and then more fruit to snack on throughout the day until I at least get to 2500 calories.  I am very excited thus far!!!  I have already had 2 1/2 liters of water today.  I always drink a lot of water!  I am taking a before picture and measurements, so I can see the difference as time goes by!  I am 5'8 and currently 195 pounds.I have been totally vegan since January 1st, went all raw for 41 days at this time(felt amazing by the way and lost 10 pounds), then fell back into some old habits of eating sugary carbs and chips.  So, I am making a new me!  I want to be able to run a half marathon again, have energy, lose the toxic fat, have shiny hair again, have smoother and more supple skin, lose the asthma and allergies for good and just look and feel amazing!!! I also want to be free from counting calories for the rest of my life!  I so want to get at a stable, healthy weight(whatever my body decides that is) and stay there effortlessly!  I have been counting calories since I was 12, only keeping it low by starving and trying every diet known to man.  I did not have an eating disorder per say, but it was not a healthy relationship with food.  Then, when I would eat what I want to, my weight would sky rocket, especially with my pregnancies! So, I am done with all of that nonsense!  It may take awhile, but I will get there!! So, these are my goals for my raw path.  Thanks for listening!!!

Congratulations...stay with it  - listen to yourself and surround yourself with like minded and being prepared ...

Wow, Trina! That's awesome that you went Vegan straight since the beginning of this year. I was Vegan before my Son in 2005 and Vegetarian on and off for many years. I have been struggling with weight since High School when I packed on the pounds with terrible food, but I was also restricting calories here and there and not knowing what kinds of food will help me. I got really tired of dieting period and have tried many different modalities. I feel best being Vegan but I found that in order to lose weight I was avoiding fruits and was not getting enough carbs and experienced cravings for processed sugars like there was no tomorrow.

I have been a Raw Vegan since the beginning of the year for awhile doing fasting, juicing, and now finally LFRV with tons of fruit and I feel great. What I love is that I get to eat so much fruit and honestly the cravings stopped after a few days when I would as Freelee suggested load up on fruit the beginning of the day. This has been a great success for me.

However, I make cooked food for my Son who is 3 and it's been challenging to not eat cooked food. He's pretty much a Vegan with occasional dairy which I am slowly weaning him off of. I don't have any problems staying Vegan, the eating cooked food has been very challenging for me going into week 2 of LFRV lifestlye.

I know what it's like to gain weight after working so hard on losing it. I have been losing and gaining even this year doing fasting and juicing. I just want to find my equilibrium for my body where I can eat healthy and have all the energy I need to accomplish my intentions for the day.

So far, in week 2 I am finding that the LFRV lifestyle is going to help me get to my equilibrium and maintain my sanity about weight issues etc. and actually feel great.

Best

Thanks for the wonderful comments!

I also cook for my family.  I have a meat eating husband and two boys ages 18 and 21 and all of their friends that come over.  They are not happy about it, but I am not keeping the junk food in the house, except for chips and fruit snacks for them.  It can be challenging at best.  So, I am loading up on fruit to keep the cravings at bay!  I just had a huge fruit salad, like I used to make for the whole family!!  LOL  So far, so good!!!

You're doing great!

I'm sure you will feel even more energetic when you eliminate the coffee.

Thank you so much!  I actually did not even finish one cup of coffee today, it did not taste good. So, tomorrow I will not even have it!  I felt pretty good yesterday, no cravings.  I took the advise on here and make sure I got 2600 calories.  I had some dates after dinner and that satisfied the sweet cravings.  I sure do appreciate all of the help on here!!!!  Thanks
