Comment by Athena on May 5, 2012 at 4:51pm To be on the safe side, I want to take a B12 dosage. Though it is very important to me that the b12 supplement doesn't have any wheat, gluten, salt or sweetener. I've been looking and looking, but haven't had any luck yet. If any of you know of any brands, that ship to Germany (preferably not costing a bomb), please let me know.
Comment by Kotryna on May 3, 2012 at 10:03pm I would really like to know which brand and dosage DR and Freelee uses. I'm getting bit nervous about all this stuff... maybe it's just lack of sleep, but I'd like to have more energy and less irritability since I'm in this lifestyle... My hubby said that he don't get it, why everyone here says their energy shot through the roof and he feels all the same. And his mother gives me hard time that he looks pale. Personally I don't see any difference, he looks the same for me, and having in mind that he doesn't go outside, and doesn't have any other symptoms other than not boosted energy levels, I want to think that we are fine... But she planted a seed of doubt... I'm starting to freak out. Oh, and we truly need to sleep more (usually it's only 7hrs each night). Still, despite all our mistakes, I'd like to know the good source to order b12 online (needs shipping to EU).
Comment by Purna Bhattacharya on April 26, 2012 at 4:19pm Hey DR! I was taking B12 a year ago under my naturopath's guidance (and I trust her fully, she's excellent and is open to raw foods). I took it in pill form, did lose weight and had more energy. Now, I have two questions:
1) Is it ok to take B12 in pill form (no synthetics used)?
2) Is it ok to start taking them again without doing a blood test?
Thanks in advance! :)
Comment by L on April 8, 2012 at 6:12am Hey there. Shots are apparently best/ gold standard, but I personally take a sub-lingual from a company called Enzymatic Therapy. My b12 levels were off the roof last time I checked!

Comment by Kerryn Gray on April 7, 2012 at 3:10pm Hi Jessica, you've had some bad luck, I would expect all Dr's to be concerned if you rejected their advice about need for B12 injections and no matter what their view, perhaps, not be interested in a vegan or 80/10/10 argument about it. I would recommend you go back to your Dr for a couple of reasons, to let him know your stance was a bit misinformed and you now realize he is right about needing the injections, it is preferable he not carry on thinking vegan/80/10/10 people take this stance, and further to get the injections and perhaps let him see how healthy your are throughout this process as vegan/811/RAW (?) ....
Short answer is YES B12 injections are fine, in fact most people will say preferred, but if you see my earlier post below I must say I won't have them again as I did have a pretty intolerably though apparently uncommon side effect in a massive and unusual pimple/acne outbreak that I never want to have to experience again! I am sure others will reiterate at least some of this advice when they have a change. Good luck.

Comment by Michelle M on March 29, 2012 at 6:52am Hi All,
I'm going to start doing B12 intramuscular injections, which I used to get from my doctor and which I self administered when I was away at school. It's been a while, and I can't for the life of me remember the proper dosage, and I've stopped seeing an MD. Does anyone do these, and how much do you take?
