Comment by Adbekunkus on February 18, 2012 at 4:50am Hi Annette, Ithink the Banana Island would be a great idea. BUT, i would recommend supervised fasting to take care of your symptons. Or seeing a natural hygiene doctor. I think maybe you need to rest a lot :D.
Sometimes we're our own worst enemies and we need to take a rest of ourselves...
Hope this helps.
In gratitude,
Álvaro
Comment by Annette on February 18, 2012 at 2:14am Hello to all
I have been raw for about 6mos...raw high fat. I went on the raw foods for these reasons...low energy (could sleep for 24 hrs if I let myself), depression, was hoping it would clear up my eczema, which I have had since 2years of age and had breast cancer 5years ago. I am 54 years of age and I know its not to late I hope, to have discovered the life style change. Well the energy/depression has been taken care, but the eczema and a new symptom of aching joints. Only been doing the Low fat raw foods for a few weeks now and I believe that the Island will help. Has anyone with joint pain or eczema had any success with Banana Island type of eating. Thanks

Comment by Barbo on December 16, 2011 at 4:35am Hey guys,
Can some tell me the benefits of banana island? I've heard that Dr. Doug recommends it to some patients, but I could figure out who should do it, when and why?
Being on BI means you ONLY comsume bananas for an extended period of time and nothing else at all??
Thanks!
Ok.. I have decided that I am doing BI starting.. soon! lol..
so what is the agenda then? how many bananas should one eat in a day? This was probably posted somewhere..
thanks guys in advance xx
i'm being on the lfrv diet since almost 6 months with some rare trip out the diet but now i find myself very gassy as shelby is everytime i eat bananas! it's not bad smell but lot of air coming out of my body and don't know why.. i also have dry skin all over my body! and this only happened after i moved to nyc.. in florida i was totally ok having 7-8 ripe bananas at a time. is it possibile because i'm not blending them anymore and i'm just eating them whole??
Comment by BeTheGorrila on December 6, 2011 at 2:15am really the only time i get gas, is when i eat any form of cooked foods, & when im on the island for maybe a week, all my gassyness dissapears, ya gotta give your intestines time, remember its an uber long system and not everything gets pushed out overnight
