Dharani - I would say buy an entire box, just ask the produce person and they will bring one out from the back.  I unload mine when I get home and they seem to ripen faster on top of my fridge (warmer).

I live in Colorado USA and there hardly any ripe bananas when I go to the store :( 
They slowly ripen and they're not sweet at all because Im eating them in a barely yellow stage. Any suggestions?

is there a way to ripen bananas? I heard you can just stick them in the oven for a bit but are they going to be cooked if i do that?

Also, I like to eat the bananas, not make them into smoothies because it takes longer to eat and that makes me feel full.

I think you should always drink as much water as you can. Especially if you have cravings. This is my 6th day on the banana diet and i made the mistake of eating unripe bananas. Don't!!! I just had to go to the bathroom a lot. I found that drinking hot water, hot water and lemon or tea also helps to not crave other things. Anyway I don't think I've been eating enough bananas and that's why I still crave other foods. I am really energized and I have been performing well during workout sessions. I feel stronger and i'm really glad to be doing the banana island. I was thinking about doing it for 30 days total. I already see great benefits: I feel light and strong, I am energized enough to keep working out, I see more muscle tone and I feel good! I already have nice skin but I want to see if it improves with this diet. I'll let you know! ;)

Hi! 4th day of the banana island! I feel great! energized and awesome! I am also seeing great results physically. I have noticed a lot more muscle tone, less fat and I definitely look slimmer. I do exercise every day though.

Hey! this is my 3rd day of the Banana Island! Its funny because today is my 1 year anniversary with my boyfriend and I made a raw banana date apple pie! lol that's as much cheating as I'm allowing today. I feel really energized, and I had a great workout this morning. Im planning on working out again this afternoon. I usually have two workouts a day. I feel mentally clear and ive been in a really good mood all day! Oh also i just tried this Mate Chocolatte (organic mate, cocoa seed and spice) tea and its amazing!! HI EVERYONE!!!! This is my first day.. Going strong.. First morning smoothie was not the greatest, I had 10 mooshie bananas, no ice etc.. It was all sloppy and chunky.. It was really quite difficult to scoop it into a drink bottle.  I'm spooning it thinking.. "WHAT.. AM I DOING??" lol, and it was just gross.  At lunch tried again and I had 5 mooshed bananas and 1 frozen and OMG the difference.  It was like a real smoothie.  THANK GOD .. This mornings efforts made me a bit skeptical.  Phew, Anyway I have a headache.. ANd I just want to do nothing.  I havent really gotten a burst of energy that I see people talk about :( Although I didn't exercise this morning.. I will tomorrow!
