I did my first banana island yesterday and it was pretty awesome, 31 bananas. Last night I started detoxing with a headache and nausia. This morning I woke with a sore throat, and believe me I felt it all night long. I know this is awesome cleansing for me and I wanted to share for all you first timers out there.  We're ridding ourselves of toxins that finally get to come out of our beautiful bodies!!! Best of luck to you all!

Doing this because I want to cleanse my body and mind for a while! I feel I could benefit from a couple of months on BI, but taking it day by day...am b/feeding 2 month old so bananas are best energy-providing monofruit for me and easiest to get. Your diet sounds great, that may be what your body needs right now...

I was trying to, but I've had some dried figs, some dates and a salad in the evening. Other than that, I'm there ;-). Maybe we could say up until 5pm I am :-). But! I will have some more ripe bananas real soon and maybe I'll may 1st May a new real BI starting date...
How are you doing? What did you go on BI for?

I completed my 10 days even with a little detour of mono meals of other fruit.  I really enjoyed it.  I found the only difficult thing was remembering to prepare for those moments when I'm busy and unable to eat.  I relied on banana/water/blueberry smoothies which were delicious.  I did side track today due to stress about money. (i.e. cookies!) Of course I didn't feel good while I was eating them and neither did I afterward.  I was emotionally upset over some things with a family member and I was mad and feeling really low and I didn't make a wise choice, but I'm not letting it get me down.  I received my 80-10-10 book today in the mail and it couldn't have come at a better time.

Don, there's nothing special about "banana" island.  It's the pure mono that does the trick.  Pick your fave and have at it!  If I could have had unlimited Pap's like you, I might still be goin' till I turn orange :)

I'm actually not that crazy about Cav nan's, so sometimes this was a challenge.  Now, if I ever get my paws on plentify apple nan's...

As it is, close of Day 11 of 11

25 nan/5 unripe plantain

I trounced my original goal of 7 days, and have achieved my longest ever isle sojourn.

Tomorrow brings a new adventure, and I can almost gAHrAHNtEE, it won't include the grinning yellow boomerang :)

Peace out, Peeps, I'm hitchin' the next ride outa here!
