30 Bananas a Day!

This is my second day here and I hope to be able to stay here for some more time. I came here to get rid of food addictions, to get digestion more optimal, to get rid of health complaints, and to shine ;-).
It was hard at times to not cave in to the little devil on my shoulder telling me to just have a spoon of whatever cooked vegan food, but I didn't. I hope he'll dissapear if I just can keep ignoring him ;-).
I have bananasmoothies, some with a little parsly or other greens... Posting about this might help to not get off the island. I hope te be able to have less problems staying raw after this... We'll see ;-).

Yay!! Once you eradicate the idea of there being another option it becomes so much easier :)
I just started on banana island today, so I haven't experienced a lot of symptoms as of yet, but I just wanted to congratulate you on not giving up and sticking to this! I know initially it's very hard to overcome addictions :)
Hi Natalya, kudos for your trip to BI! I must admit however that I've been on the drift a bit the past days. I was on BI for 3 days and at the end of that 3rd day had a bite of something cooked an swoosh, things went all wrong again. I really must keep in mind that one bite leads to another. But! The good news is, now you are there too, I'm going to join you again. The addictions have always gotten the better part of me but I really want to be the one in charge, not the addictions! So, here I go again. Thanks for your reply, it gets me back where I want to be! Let's enjoy BI together!

I know exactly what you mean, since I've fallen off the wagon many many times.
But we learn from failure just as much as we do from success, right?
It's been 5 days since I posted this. I could not keep from cheating a little. Compared to all the food that is around me bananas seem to get a bit boring...
However!
Today is November 14, which means that I'll be 30 in 10 days. I really want to be 100% by then. No wait, I need to be, because if I don't: menstruating will be agony, lupus will flare up, Raynaud's will be visiting more often, my digestion will be all messy,... yeah well and it's just something I want to accomplish by the time I turn 30 :-)
Thursday I thought I'd do a 3-day fast, thought it might be get rid of my cough. I was cold all day, had terrible Raynaud's, and by evening I decided to just have a bananasmoothie and don't fast.
I think that adding more fruit will help me to stay raw.The only fruit I've been eaten the last 2 months is bananas and now tangerines are in seasons they really help me when I think of eating something cooked. They help, cause like dates you can really snack on them. Anyways, maybe BI will be for some other time, once I manage this raw thing better ;-). Bananas will remain the stapple, but I'll just go and have whatever fuit and veggies I like from now on. For now I really still need the variation.
