Comment by baba yaga on May 1, 2013 at 2:25pm Going on banana island tomorrow! Aiming for 3-4 days before introducing other fruits. I've been off this lifestyle for a long while (note to all: STAY on this lifestyle!) and I think this will be the perfect transition back. If anyone else is on here, drop me a line and let me know your experiences!

Comment by Shane A Brewer on April 14, 2013 at 9:49pm Can't see how someone can eat 30-40 bananas a day for 30 straight days . 120 bananas in 3 days whew i wanna puke bananas. I remember a video on here dont be hard on yourself if u fall down. Learn from your mistake and move on but don't quit. This 811 diet is the way to go. I learned to succeed in the fruit challenge 30 days I must add other fruits with bananas.
Comment by Shane A Brewer on April 13, 2013 at 10:41pm Day 3 of BI and the heavy detox has slowed down. With each bowel movement the detox lessens. 2 gallons of water a day for me. Flushes out all the toxins. I lift very heavy weight working out .Eg. I do up to 1200 lbs or half ton with shoulder shrugs on a powerack. I want to see with no protien will my strength levels remain .I will get my amino acids from greens . Protien breaks down to amino acids. I think I dont need any protien at all. I seen a runner who hasn't had any protien in years.
Comment by Victoria Chii on April 10, 2013 at 1:12am I just dropped myself off on banana kale island yesterday!!
Comment by Alex on April 4, 2013 at 11:26am Just got my very first case of bananas and was planning on starting BI today, but didn't realize that none of them would be ripe yet oops! I guess I'll have to start next week and definitely get another case in the next few days so that I have an abundance of ripe bananas :D I'm a little apprehensive about BI though since I seem to get "thick" in my lower body when eating lots of bananas, but I guess gaining a little bit of weight while healing is normal so I'm trying not to stress about it too much. I know my body will thank me!
Comment by Mangoustine on March 27, 2013 at 5:12am Hi Banana Islanders,
I am quite new to this discussion group and I would like to share with you some my experience with bananas. Since I moved to Costa Rica lowlands I live in abundance of bananas and platanas of many different varieties. I found a variety of bananas which when blended turns into a jelly. It is so delicious on its own. It is also very good with strawberries or any kind of berries. I bought some transplants of this bananas and I will plant them soon. Has anybody had a smilar experience with bananas?
Comment by Ronni on March 27, 2013 at 12:51am Hi, Josefine, thank you.
I'm currently not going to be adding greens. Mainly because I've been going on and off 80/10/10 for the past two weeks, and quite frankly, my body is so confused that I feel right now it can only handle one thing at the most right now. But, if you feel the need for greens, feel free! :)
I've actually never done a Banana Island before and am still not sure how long I plan to do this for. What do you think?
