I thought this site needed a group for fellow meditators as am sure there are many of you concious beings on here!! Thought we could use this to share our experiences, discuss different types of practice, retreats, difficulties, books, insights and other spiritual purification techniques such as pranayamas, chanting etc.

I give guided meditations. The number of people participating in this meditation group is growing and it gives so much back to me. It is all about finding that peaceful consciousness that watches everything :).

My dear ZestyLime , I give You my Sincere Support to begin again . I know how You are feeling . I know . As You depicted it . OH , how I would like to give  You Support in Person .

I know the Chaos around can withdraw lots of Energies . But begin with it .

In the Brain , it will be easier then .

You will achieve , on the Material Level , for sure , carefully and slow , in concentrating on the Movements You make , External and Internal , to put into their Suitable Places , Object by Object . I assure You .

I think its Vital , this Harmony around . Its simply , the Principle of Feng Shui that You know so well .  The Energies . The Details , I mean , how We feel it , are up to Us to decide and feel .

You have , as I have mentioned above , achieved Infinite Possibilties in the Realm of the Absolute and the Strengh , as well, to produce in an Infinite Way , almost , what a HumanBeing can achieve ... through Meditation . YOU .

It will come back , my dear Person .  I give You my Support .

Hi. I am not completely new to meditation, i have practised it in the past, but then i have stopped for quite some time and now i am looking at starting to do it again. I am finding it difficult to incorporate it in my daily routine only because i feel chaos in my mind and my house is a lot like that too and so i find it difficult to get going with it. So i am hoping to be able to find motivation and support here from people in this group.

Hi, I have heard about the benefits of meditation and would like to try it but I don't understand how to do it? How do you meditate?

I'm also thinking of getting into meditation.  I wouldn't mind discussing how to do it.

First, I have sleep apnea and I'm trying new ideas for better sleep.  For that reason I try to have a calm 30 minutes in a low-light environment at 9:30 p.m. to center my mind on my breathing and counting.  I then try to inventory the day & decide if I've made mistakes I need to correct, or left anything undone that I might start thinking about while I try to fall asleep.  If I can "finish" with everything, I start trying to calm my thinking; come back to the moment; do muscle relaxations and meditate on sleeping.

Second, I'm getting absent-minded in my old age.  I've lost sunglasses, almost walked away from a busstop and forgot I was riding a bicycle, and I get to thinking so hard about the future that I forget what I'm doing NOW!!  So in the morning I try to think about the day and concentrate on what I need to do that day and what I'm doing NOW!!  And when I get up from the sitting position, I try to maintain that concentration as I begin to walk, drink tea, work, or whatever I'm doing.

That's my experiment with meditation.  It's too late for me to become a master, but maybe I can avoid dementia for a few years.

Meditation is what lead me to the vegan lifestyle, it was a very beautiful and natural transition. I meditate 20 min every morning and my days turn out to be amazing.
