30 Bananas a Day!

How long has everyone here been doing 80/10/10 for?

Hey,

I'm just really curious how long has everyone been doing this lifestyle for?I've been very on/off falling back and never making it 100% more than 4 months. If anyone can provide me with some tips and advice that would be great. There was a few times I ran out of money and fell off the wagon need to learn how to budget too.

How about you don't beat yourself up for falling off, just get right back on?

this diet can be more expensive; if you stick to cheaper fruits and greens it is more achievable.

I've not been really 100% for more than a month probably, but the last 6-7 months have been 99.9-ish!  Every time I have a slip to cooked vegan, I experience nausea/constipation/tiredness.  Seems one's system gets adapted to raw over quite a short period, and complains at the occasional slip.  Of course, you can override the symptoms by continuing to eat cooked; it will adapt back .

I've 8/1/1 for about 3 months now.

I tend to try & stick to getting the most calorie rich fruits for my money - bananas & dates. I probably spend around £70-£90 a week on fruits. I could get it down to less if I could find a decent wholesaler around where I live but there really isn't any & I don't drive to get in to the city so I shop in Asda mostly. I could also get the cost of what I buy down if I bought conventionally grown stuff but I try to buy organic if they have it.

A usual shop list will look a like this for me.

10 packs of organic bananas - 5 bananas per pack.

10 packs of medjool dates - 9 dates per pack.

3 bags of organic apples - 6 apples per pack.

1 kg of green grapes.

2 packs of clementines.

1 bag of organic spinach.

1 bag of kale.

3 organic cucumbers.

1 head of organic lettuce.

1 bunch of organic celery.

1 bag of organic carrots.

That'll last me about 4 days, maybe less depending on how quick I go through the dates & bananas.

Thank you guys for the replies.Always helpful to hear from you. No I won't be hard on myself anymore Kate  :)

I shop at Asda too, I don't own a car so I get it delivered to my house. Also I have a tendency to to buy 'fun foods' as extra treat so I'm left empty by the end of the month. Like they had kiwiberries on sale and they are so damn good costed about £2.00 for a small box couldn't pass it up.
