30 Bananas a Day!

Hi all

I am new to the diet, I live near a large fruit and veg market, but the produce isn't organic and it's often not ripe and goes off before it ripens.  Does anyone know of somewhere where I can buy in bulk organic which will deliver?

I have tried market fruit, it is often bland or just disguting, okay if you're only eating a couple of times a day but not good for enjoying whole meals of fruit.

Any suggestions gladly received.

Hi ya

we use these guys, they are in New Covent Garden but they also deliver. We get deliveries down here in Brighton and are pretty happy with them. Give them a call!!  :)

Hi mica

thanks very much for this i checked them out but they don't have any product details on their website.  i would like to browse before i have to call them.  do you have a product list for them???

Hey, I have their product list from about three weeks ago. I haven't ordered from Langridge yet... Still eating mostly non-organic. Best thing is to email a guy named Matt and he'll send you the latest list.

matt.morgan@langridgeorganic.com

If you order from them, let us know how it goes :)

thanks matt i will drop them a line.!

But my name's not Matt :-o

Anyhow I tried chasing the guy (Matt) a few times and he doesn't get back to me. Did you have any luck?

In the meantime I will try Able & Cole since Wayne recommends them :)

I got a product list from Matt, but I prefer to be able to see and choose my fruit.

If you can get to New Covent Garden easy, I think you can go and see the produce. I have ordered with them often whilst still in Brighton in the U.K. (we moved on to Germany now) and have always been pretty happy with the produce, nice guys too!! I don't recommend their mangoes though, come to think of it...everything else has been good. Your best bet in London, or Brighton for decent organic produce in my opinion.

Sorry for late reply by the way, i don't seem to get all notifications, just came across this via something else again..:)

I've used Able & Cole for years. Their organic range is great and their customer service is outstanding. They deliver once a week and only charge 99p for delivery, they will drop it where you ask them.

I've had quite a lot of friends sign up and they've been amazed with the service. They are also good for presents too, friends have been delighted with my gifts of organic Christmas food hampers.

Pop the name into Google for the web address and if you do join, tell them that Wayne Bevan sent you, they'll give you a free recipe book.

Good luck.

Wayne, this is really helpful. I know I wasn't the one asking the question, but thanks! I'm going to check them out right now. Cheers :)

thanks for this, is their fruit usually ripe?

I checked with them at the weekend, you get a free fruit/veg box if you mention that you were sent by me for your first order. That's jolly nice of them.

They send me a bottle of wine, but I don't drink so it can go with the rest of the collection, collecting dust. :)
