Former UFC heavyweight champ Frank Mir read the China Study and changed his diet to a strict vegetarian or almost vegan diet. Thats what Joe Rogan said in the event yesterday. The word is getting out!

Comment by Cloudfox on November 4, 2012 at 11:02pm Wooohoooo! I’m sending out loads of "positive ki" to all my
fellow mango-munchin' martial artists!
I started out with Qi Gong, practiced Aikido for the last 4 years and
at the moment I’m all Iaido.
Any other Iaidoka here?

Comment by Borneo Monkey on June 23, 2012 at 12:41am Hi there,
New to 30Bad, transitioned into fruitarianism since April 2012, previously a Pescetarian.
I'm BJJ white belt 2nd stripe and Judo yellow belt. Currently in a rest due to collarbone broken 3 months ago and had surgery to fix it up (with metal plate and six screws). Can't wait to get on mat as soon as possible however doctor told me to stop all training for six months.
I would be appreciate if any of you have idea of speedy recovery please drop me a message.
Thank you.
Cheers!
Aloha guys, thanks for starting this group Jesse. i don't have much martial arts experence but i do have a wrestling background. my interest in mma has grown alot the last 5-yrs or so, and being so close to Hilo dec.-mar. i decided to check out BJ PENN'S gym. i managed to make it to 6 or so jujitsu classes but heavy sparing seems to bring up an old back injury every time, SO frustrating! so now i've been focused on stand-up teck in the cardo-kick box class, trying to build myself up patently w/ what little time i have to dedicate.
last sat. we had a kick boxing seminar w/ top notch instructor Jeremy Wijers from Portland. while waiting for class to begin, none other than BJ PENN walks in. WOW, what an honor to train w/ BJ. I shook his hand & told him so. no higher level ego trip, just one of the boys laughing & having fun learning W/ the rest of us, real friendly nice guy. Great class, learned alot about clinch teck & much more!
