I have not read this book, but I do think RP is a good debater, but from what I have read he lacks integrity. The idea of religious fundamentalists of any kind being in a position of power is very scary to me.
You might want to read Stefan Molyneuxs How (Not) to Achieve Freedom. He covers Ron Pauls campaign and the hopelessness of political libertarianism in detail.
